Turkish Regional Dance:Halay
It is a game that is played hand in hand or arm with arm. It is played in the accompaniment of drums and zurna. Weddings are indispensable. Halay is called halay to play. People standing side by side display figures with shoulder, hand or foot movements. The person who is first in line of people is picking handkerchiefs and shaking it. Forms of play vary from local to local. At rural weddings, local dresses are worn. People crazy fun. If you come to Turkey surely follow.
El ele ya da kol kola tutuşularak oynanan oyundur. Davul ve zurna eşliğinde oynanır. Düğünlerin vazgeçilmezidir. Halay oynamaya halay çekmek denir. Yanyana dizilen insanlar omuz, el ya da ayak hareketleriyle figürler sergiler. Yanyana dizilen insanlardan ilk sırada bulunan kişi eline mendil alır ve onu sallar. Oynayış şekilleri yöreden yöreye değişir. Kırsal düğünlerde yöreye ait giysiler giyilir. İnsanlar çılgınca eğlenir. Türkiye’ye gelirseniz mutlaka izleyiniz.
