WE ARE WHAT WE THINK
Hi. I have been thinking what does human thought thinks all the way long. I'll be sharing some selection from Philippine Daily Inquirer of September 26, 1996. Thanks to it.
|Through our words, our behavior, or even the expression of our face, the quality of our thoughts becomes visible. The moral ethics we appreciate and adapt, it may influence how our thoughts goes on. Words and actions is the product of the mind industry. Let us know and understand the types of thoughts our mind can create. We may not be able to redirect thoughts into positive aspect but we can do to make it into better aspect. We must improve the quality of our mind, body and relationships.
|Those that deal with our daily routine is some necessary thoughts. Like a child will think, “What will I eat for snacks”? “What do I need to buy tomorrow”? “When do I have to pay my school fees?” These are some questions that come up to our mind and this is the practical thoughts to feed up our daily needs and requirements.
Superfluous thoughts are normal and it is of no use, this is neither constructive nor particularly negative. Deals the thought about things in the past. Like “Why did he not tell me this?”, something like asking why from things had already happen.
|No one could escape the reality about negative thoughts. This is maybe harmful. Mostly harmful in fact that it leads to committing on suicides. Negative thoughts are based on materialistic desires, lust, anger, unfulfilled expectations, hatred, jealousy, arrogance, extreme possessiveness, extreme laziness and etc. We our poisoning our mind as well as the atmosphere if our thoughts are based on these weaknesses.
|No matter how right we think into a positive way, by thinking negative we lose. Negative thoughts take away our self-respect and also others lose respect for us. For people who think very negatively about others will feel lonely although we see them having many relationships.
|To be creative and constructive, positive thoughts alone allow us to accumulate our inner strength. We always see the benefits in all situations to have positive thoughts and without being caught up by the external appearance of the situation.
|By thinking positive does not mean we ignore the reality around us and pretend to love or be somewhere else. To think positively means to see the problem and recognize its reality. But also to find the solution for that problem. This would require tolerance, patience, and common sense.
|A person who thinks positively will be aware of the weaknesses of others and turn the attention towards the good tendencies of others. Positive thoughts give us the feeling of contentment within. Our expectations of others become less and less. We stop demanding things from them like respect, consideration, love recognition. We enable the relationship to become light.
|When we are content within, then we have the strength to accept others as they are without wanting to change as we think is right. We are able to give ourselves as we are with our positive qualities and shortcomings.
