Story at school #3 : "My Relationship With Goodnews”

I remember my first year in high school when I talked down on those who had relationships in high school. I was so focused that I didn’t want to have any form of romantic relationship with anyone at school then but I think the more we grow, the more we have relationships at school, develop feelings and most importantly, enter the puberty stage.

My love story at school

Mr Samaila walked into the class with a new boy who scents so nice. He looks exactly like my dream man and I could not wait for Mr Samaila to introduce him to the whole class.
“Hello class. This is your new classmate. His name is Goodnews”.

We all exchanged our names with him and I guess my friends noticed how I was staring at him. During break time, we all go to the dining to eat all together but I didn’t go with my friends on that day. I was patiently waiting for Goodnews to go to the dining.
Immediately, I stood up and got to the dining before him because he could not find his way in our big school.
I collected my food and sat on the chair when I saw Goodnews approaching my table.

“Can I come join you when I get my food,” he asked but the only thing I could do was nod my head. That was how we became good friends and we go home together everyday until one day when we were meant to go our separate ways at the point which we do but something interesting happened. Goodnews and I kissed and that was the beginning of our relationship.

Unfortunately, the relationship only lasted two weeks because Tomilola, a finer girl fell in love with Goodnews and she was able to force herself on him and make him her boyfriend. I can’t date someone who has another girl apart from me so I broke up with Goodnews and my friends laughed at me for neglecting them for the whole of two weeks and the relationship still didn’t go well. I reunited with my friends and I didn’t talk to Goodnews and Tomilola for a whole year until I found love with David, a guy in the senior class and I didn’t like Goodnews anymore.

Surprisingly, Goodnews now texts me almost everyday that he wants us to get married but I have someone I’m about to get married to and we’re good together.

Sometimes, people say that high school love is the best and that’s where you find real love. I agree to the first part but not the second. High school love may be the best but you sometimes do not find real love there.

If Goodnews really loved me, he wouldn’t date any other girl aside from me. It was fun while it lasted two weeks though and I hope my current relationship leads to marriage.
