Highs despite the lows
These last few days, the crypto world has made me very happy. My last two posts on Hive have done really well (thank you!) and even though basically every coin has gone down greatly, the big swings gave me plenty of opportunity to increase my portfolio. Nothing big, but more than when we just go sideways.
Yesterday, when the big crashes were happening, I made some good trades on ETH, BCH and a few other coins. Besides that, I bought in a couple of extra coins to increase my staking profits. All while reading the the exploding forum posts, which was quite entertaining.
The ugly
I didn't do a lot in the garden yesterday, although I did stomp on two hands full of slugs again. I bought some eco slug poison which doesn't affect birds, hedgehogs, pets, etc., but I still need to bring myself to using them. I figure I should empty out all of the weeds first, so I can do a big strike all at once. So I'll focus on pulling out the big weeds for now.
The good following the bad
I woke up this morning from the clicking of our solar panel inverter. With the sun coming up sooner every day, that thing is clicking earlier and earlier. I got up, checked Hive and became very happy to see my latest post had done even better over night! I was so grateful! I got some tea, did some crypto trading and had breakfast earlier than usual.
A bit of bad with a lot of good
See, when I woke up, I noticed I was a little headachey. So I put on my sunglasses for the rest of the day and after the early breakfast, I took a painkiller right away (yes, I learn! Eventually...). The headache has disappeared for now (unless I bend down), which is great and I'm hoping I averted the migraine this way. I have no time for it this week. I had to do groceries and have plans with mum tomorrow. It was quite interesting to notice I did get some other migrainey problems, like tiredness and dizziness. After lunch, I opened up an energy drink (yes, I know) to let the caffeine do its magic and send the looming headache away completely.
The high
So, I did groceries, bought some fresh herb plants on sale and repotted them right away. Hoping the basil and mint will do well in my sunny window sill and otherwise, I'll plant them outside. Backup plans!
The low
When I got back from the shop, mum called. My uncle had been sick these last few months and he passed away the previous evening. I feel both sad and relieved for my aunt, because by the end, he wasn't able to do anything anymore aside from lying in bed. I imagine it must be horrible to see your partner in life like that, so for the worst of it to have been brief might be for the best. Ofcourse, I do feel very sad for her and their kids to lose their partner and father.
I asked mum if we should cancel our plans tomorrow, but she still wants to come over. It's a good distraction, so that makes sense. We're going to visit a garden center (which reminds me, I need to wash my facial masks today). I'm not sure yet if I need anything aside from some extra potting ground, but I always enjoy checking everything out and I usually come home with something. It's been so long since we visited one, so it'll be nice.
And now...
After groceries and the call, I stashed away my groceries, repotted the herbs and send a card. For the rest of today, I'm keeping an eye on the crypto prices, will browse around on Hive a bit and I'll probably do some gaming and tv watching. I also plan to pick some weeds.
Hubby's got updates at work to do in the evening, so I'll be eating alone. Bought myself a pizza, so that will be an easy dinner. I'll throw some fresh basil and spinach on top, it'll be great!
Right, I think that's enough randomness for today! No game talk, foodie-ing or any kind of intellectual post today. Just a good old-fashioned blog.

Is this black rose??? Very rare in my country.
If I remember correctly, it was a pink rose in real life. I edited it to blue :-)

Ah, I see, quiet a bit!
