With the rains have come the blooming of Zephyranthes plants, this is the scientific name for rain lilies. These flowers come in a variety of color pink, yellow and white. I once had the pink flower in my garden, but sadly it has disappeared.

This plant lives up to its common name of rain lily because it is when it is soaked by continuous rains that it makes its triumphant reappearance with its beautiful white petals and beautiful yellow pistils in the center.

I have transplanted several bulbs, at first I thought they were of the pink and white flower but now I realize that only the white ones have bloomed in all the pots where I planted them. I am forgetting about the pink for now until I get it back on the market.

The flowers are not very long lasting at least they are there for two days but at night they are picked to reopen the next day and then say goodbye to make way for a new flower. They are the wonders of nature.
