What is PoB?
POB is the abbreviation for Proof of Brain. In order to understand the concept of POB, we must first understand the prize pool. Let's first look at how the reward pool on the Steem Blockchain works. In the first stage, 20+1 witnesses create Steem blocks. These newly created blocks are collected in the prize pool. Tokens in the prize pool are shared in certain proportions.
- A 10% slice is distributed to witnesses who earn these tokens.
- 15% tranche distributed to SP holders
- 10% spent on Steem DAO.
- The remaining 65% is distributed to steemit.com users. This is where the POB comes into play. There are two ways to get a share of the 65% slice here.
The first one is to create content.
The second one is by checking the originality of the content created on the platform, voting according to the value they add to the user, and receiving a curation award. Sharing the prizes in the prize pool with these two methods is called POB.
There is a decentralized system here. In this way, the probability of each content being noticed and upvoted increases.
The points to be considered while creating content are as follows:
✔ The content created should be original and free from plagiarism
✔ If a source is used, the original content must be cited.
✔Content quality
The points to be considered while curating are as follows:
- The originality of the content must be checked (if there is plagiarism, warn the author or inform the country representative. Downvote is usually preferred for such cases.)
- Content that is of high quality and adds value to the reader is motivated by upvotes.
Of course, since we are talking about a decentralized system, users' downvote and upvote preferences belong to them. But in general, paying attention to these will move the platform further.
What does curation mean to you in Steem Blockchain?
As I mentioned in POB, curation is of great importance for the distribution of prizes. You get a curation award by upvoting content that you find quality. As your SP amount increases, the value of the upvote will increase, so both the author and you will win more prizes. You can also change the curation amount by adjusting the voting rate after exceeding 500 SP. In this way, there is a chance to use your voting mana more effectively and to vote for more people.
While you distribute the prize by upvoting, you get a share from this prize pool as the curator. By downvoting, you distribute it back to the prize pool, but here the curator does not gain anything from it.
Another plus of curation is that quality content can be voted on by every member. Thus, not only a certain segment but all users contribute to the distribution of these rewards. Any content is more likely to be noticed.
For Upvote, care must be taken to ensure that the content is original. With Upvote, you can support new users and encourage them to produce quality content. Apart from upvote, it is possible to provide these supports with resteem or comments.
Content that violates community rules, profanity, racism, or human rights violations can be selected for the downvote. A common reason for downvotes is plagiarism.
What are the benefits of building SP?
As we know, we can get rewards with three different units by producing content on Steemit. These are Steem, SBD, and Steem Power. In order to earn Steem Power, we either create content and get a reward by voting, or by powering up Steem and SBDs (we need to convert them to Steem first). Since Steem Power is not a liquid token like Steem, it is not possible to cash it instantly. Therefore, the conversion of users' savings into SP is a symbol of users' trust in the platform. The crypto world is very quickly affected by speculation. By building SP, Steem is not immediately affected by these speculations.
Apart from that, an account with more SP has more power to distribute votes. Thus, more curation rewards can also be obtained. Our influence will increase as we have more power to distribute votes.
As we accumulate SP, we prove our permanence to the platform. Thus, the probability of being voted by the whale accounts or by the Steem Curators increases.
As you accumulate SP, our SP earnings will increase. Therefore, our TRX earnings will increase as we also earn the same amount of TRX for every SP we earn.
How do you explain self-upvote as a good or bad social behavior & why?
Even if there is no restriction in this regard, it is not a pleasant thing to vote for oneself. Primarily against the purpose of the platform. By voting for the content we like, we support the creator of the content for their efforts and encourage them to produce more content. In this way, prizes are distributed with quality content. However, if the person votes for himself, the curation prizes will go to himself.
Explore Coinmarketcap.com to indicate rank, STEEM price, and coinmarketcap of STEEM(screenshot required)?
Coinmarketcap.com is a website you've probably heard of if you're interested in cryptocurrencies.
At the time of writing this article, 11,575 coins were listed on this website. Among these listed coins, major coins such as BTC, ETT, as well as Steem, and SBD are also listed. It is possible to access a lot of information such as the price, volume, market cap and ranking of a coin here. It is also possible to easily access the history and whitepapers of any coin. Here we can easily access everything we are looking for about a coin, such as instant charts of coins and a coin converter.
You can find information about that coin by typing the coin you want in the search button. Since our topic is Steem and SBD, I examined these two tokens.
First, I looked at general information about Steem coin. We see that its current price is $0.633 and it is in the 188th place in the general ranking. We see that Steem has a coinmarketcap of 244,893,099. Afterwards, I examined the chart to see the movements in prices. As the chart is taken from Tradingwiev, it is possible to perform technical analysis just like in Tradingwiev.
Another coin I reviewed was SBD, which we can earn by producing content. SBD, with an instant price of $8.48, is in 464th place. Here, I took a look at the historical data of SBD.
What are the different tokens do you earn by socializing in Steem Blockchain?
You can earn four different tokens by producing content on Steemit, commenting and curating. These are Steem, Steem Power, SBD and TRX. Let's see how we can earn these four tokens.
1. Steem
You can earn Steem by creating, commenting and curating content on Steemit. You can also earn Steem by participating in various competitions.
2. Steem Power
We can get SP by Power Up the Steems in our account.
Apart from that, if we make the settings 100% while preparing the post, all the rewards we will win will come as SP. Finally, we can earn SP by curation.
3. SBD
There are two ways to earn SBD. First, if you set your settings to 50/50 while preparing the post, 50% of the reward you will receive will come as SBD. The second way is if your comments are upvoted.
4,TRX
For every 1 SP earned on Steemit, you will receive 1 TRX .
