Daily Menu Delicacies Week No. 59 / Godzila Chronicles

Another day, another park meetup with friends! As time passed, hunger took hold, so we decided to visit a restaurant nearby. Located conveniently in the heart of Sofia, it offered easy access. The restaurant itself is decent and has quite a lot of seating. It’s called Godzilla. We chose to sit in the winter garden since it has large windows and plenty of natural light. Given the indoor smoking ban, it is allowed in this part of the restaurant as it is considered a winter garden or a summer garden, depending on the season.

I decided on cucumber sushi for my meal, mostly to go along with the group. I did notice that it wasn’t sprinkled with sesame seeds, which I usually expect, but since sushi isn’t this restaurant’s forte, I wasn’t too disappointed. It still had a great taste.

The others ordered a salad called Amphibia - what a name, right? It’s made with tuna, lettuce, corn, fresh onion, lemon, and is topped with a garlic sauce.

Another opted for a Black Angus beef burger stacked with bacon, cheddar, tomato, cucumber, caramelized onions, iceberg lettuce, sauce, and a side of crispy fries.

Then there was the veal döner, packed with beef, tortilla, tomatoes, pickles, garlic sauce, and fries. And a separate portion of spicy peppers.

They weren’t exactly thrilled with me delaying their meal for the sake of photos, especially given how hungry they were, but since I wasn’t in the same situation, I had no problem taking it slow. 😆

Here’s a look at the interior. The restaurant has quite a rich menu, offering pizza, pasta, and risotto, as well as burgers, cooked dishes, salads, grilled meats, fish and seafood, desserts, and - believe it or not - even a fitness menu)))
