It would interest you to know that this is my second edition of SAPA NOODLES. Why I call it SAPA noodles is because as students, we don't know what's egg in noodles, we don't know what's onion salad in noodles, we don't know what it looks like in cooking indomie for 1 hour 30 minutes. That's why I refer to that term because the last time I prepared this noodle with bread, it took me 3 hours to finish the cooking and then serve myself as breakfast.

This is the second edition and I prepared it in an unexpected place where I was in the house of my friend. We came visiting to share laughter, moments and the likes. So we decided to go light and I was told to be involved in the kitchen. I gave them a stern warning that this would be a content and that before they eat, it may be after 2 hours. Mg apologies for not giving written evidence to shown proof of ownership.

I wasn't aware I would use the pictures for this particular content but I used a visual proof of ownership by snapping myself and also showing in videos that I made the recipe of the day. I actually did a whole lot though not as noisy as expected. Follow through as I give you details on how I prepared this recipe.

Meal Plan

For breakfast, lunch and dinner, there must always be a plan on what to eat according to one's pocket. I was with my friends who bought the idea we take lunch in our friend's place. Buying food outside would be more exorbitant than cooking it yourself. So we agreed on using noodles as lunch though I'm not a critical fan of noodles.

It's not as if noodles would satisfy us but would hold our hungry stomach a bit. Most students enjoy eating noodles in the afternoon and evening while others staying with their parents make it a habit of eating noodles as breakfast. Even when we were young, we would plan on eating noodles as breakfast.

Cost of Food Items

We made a few purchases for the use of our cooking. These purchases made us spend a total of 2180 on food.

This is the reason it is called SAPA NOODLES because of the lack of rich ingredients like cabbage, carrots, and essential spices. This type of indomie is one students enjoy eating because they can afford it but I won't include the eggs because not all students eat Indomie with eggs. So I'm going to show you guys how to prepare SAPA NOODLES from my end. I went to a friend's house and was forced to cook. So I used that opportunity to do content.

Method of Preparation

The video I'm going to drop at the end of this post explains the whole process from begining to the end. This is just a writeup that may be needed by those who wants to follow suite. People have different styles and methods of cooking indomie. For students like us, we don't like waiting for food especially when we're hungry. We want everything to be done sharp sharp.

  • For students like us, we put all the ingredients at once after filling the frying pan with water. Then we'll close the pan and wait for it to dry before eating it. We don't like stress.

  • For normal individuals like us, they go through the process of taking steps which includes, waiting for water to steam, putting the noodles, allowing the noodles to become soft and then adding ingredients.

  • Some people parboil their noodles and then fry the ingredients before putting the necessaries.

STEPS
  • I unpacked my noodles from its pack and then contained it in a plate. These are my utensils used for preparing these noodles. I washed my frypan and contained water of considerable amount before taking it to the gas cooker for heat exposure. I removed the ingredients from the packs of the noodles and kept it separate

  • I used the parboil method for my noodles preparation. After heating the water on the pan for 7 minutes, I put my noodles inside the pan and then stretch it after it was soft to fill the pan instead of being packed at one point. After that, I covered my pan and prepared other ingredients necessary for the cooking.

  • I sliced my onions using the aid of a chopping stick and then added my ginger and pepper to it and contained in a bowl. It was time to parboil my noodles, so I had to sieve the water out and rinse it with running water so the starch content can be washed to prevent cancer that comes with eating noodles often. After sieving my noodles in a siever, I added water into the pan and did proper cooking.

  • I contained a considerable amount of water in the pan, smaller than the water I added initially. I then added my spices, onions and pepper and stirred it to taste. It was more like I was doing jollof rice preparation. I ensured the water was up to taste before adding my noodles with a touch of groundnut oil.

  • I stired it again for the noodles to touch the water and then covered it until it was dry. This was a new technique I used in preparing these noodles. Normally, I do cook it all at once or fry it. Either ways do work well for me without allowing the noodles to be too soft due to excess water.

  • My noodles was ready and I took it out of the heat and garnished it with onions and boiled eggs. The taste was different and I enjoyed every bit of it that I didn't allow a strand of noodles to remain in the pan. This is a picture of my noodles above and a picture of me after eating the noodles in the pan.

  • My friends and I eat from the same pan and had the best moment together..We rushed the Noodles that it finished in minutes while still hot. We as students are used to this SAPA NOODLES, Noodles without vegetables, groundnut oil, green beans, carrot etc.

Economic Importance of SAPA NOODLES

Noodles may not really be rich in essential nutrients if essential ingredients aren't added. But the economic importance of the noodles we eat is they it saves cost. The money we would have spent on buying rice and essential ingredients to add taste, we rather bought noodles that has ingredients in it.

  • It is beneficial for restoring strength and it's a good that's easy and faster in preparation when one is hungry.

  • When eggs, onions and Groundnut oil is added, it becomes rich in carbohydrates, protein, fat and oils, minerals, water etc...

I present to you Bon Appetit

Appreciated ma. Thanks for your comment. Salad no follow, cheese, bread, salad cream, green beans and carrot too. If all these ingredients were available, I would have changed the name. 😪😂😂

I'm Enoobong, Sir. You're welcome.

Thank you @memamun

A different way of making noodles that I’ve never seen before. Maybe I should try it sometime, but without frying the vegetables)))
