Visiting the Class IIA Correctional Institution Office in Lhokseumawe City.

Hello everyone, how are you? Hope you are all well. On this occasion I would like to review a little about a prison in the city of Lhokseumawe.

In the morning, outside of my daily activities, suddenly I got a call from one of my friends. He asked me to accompany him to a prison in Lhokseumawe city. I immediately agreed without asking first what our purpose was for going there, because I knew he definitely wanted to visit his uncle who was one of the prisoners in the prison.

Our plan was fulfilled during the midday after Friday prayers. However, my friend informed me that today visitors are not welcome to meet face to face with prisoners who want to be visited, but are only allowed to leave their belongings. I don't mind that and I still accompany him to go there, I was thinking about getting rid of my boredom at home by going for a walk with my friend.

It took us about forty-five minutes to reach our destination, because the distance was quite far. Moreover, today is the last day of "Meugang" (a traditional event in Aceh) which means there will definitely be a lot of road users. So we need to leave early so as not to be late arriving at our destination.

For the parking area, you can park on the side of the road, because the main road is only used to go to the prison location, so it will not be disturbed by other traffic users.

It is not surprising that there are so many visitors today, who are definitely also visiting their families. If it is taken from the word "Meugang", means a tradition in Aceh which is held three times a year. And on this day the tradition is being held, many traders are selling fresh beef. Everyone has to buy it to eat the cooked meat with their family. Including those who visit relatives/family of course, bring meat to his family who are as a prisoner, so that they can taste it too.

Visitors are also given several rules for visiting. Visitors can not only meet directly with the prisoners they are visiting, but there are also days scheduled just for dropping off supplies. They are required to queue to enter one by one because visitor data is not inputted. There they will leave supplies with the officers.
