The Diarygame Monday 10th February 2025: "Working At The Poultry Farm And Administering Lasota Vaccine To Chicks."

Hello friends, how has your day been? I am writing to share how I spent my day with you. There's a poultry farm close to my residential house, and I worked there today to acquire knowledge about poultry farming.

The chicks are seven days old, so today, we administered the Lasota vaccine to them. You may wonder why vaccinate chicks. At this stage in their lives, this vaccine is very important for them. It helps protect the chicks from the Newcastle virus. Let me tell you about the vaccine, its precautions, and how to administer the vaccine to the chicks.

When you want to administer your chick's Lasota vaccine, be very cautious because it's a live virus. If you open the bottle of the vaccine outside water, its content will evaporate. To administer the vaccine, plunge the bottle of the vaccine in water while opening it; this is to stop the vaccine from evaporating. One bottle of the vaccine should be mixed with one liter of water for the chicks to drink. Make sure the chicks drink the water mixed with the lasota vaccine within fifteen minutes after the vaccine is opened because, after that, the vaccine may not function anymore.

Properly disinfect your hands after touching the vaccine, and ensure it doesn't come in contact with your eyes.

The second drug we administered to the chicks was Glucose. This is very essential because it reduces the mortality rate of the chicks. When you give your chicks Glucose, it will give them energy and make their lives less stressful. While administering this, ensure one gram of its substance is dissolved in four liters of drinking water for the chicks. So we gave this to the chicks, and they were energized.

The last drug we administered the chicks with today was multivitamins. This is pertinent because it helps the chicks to recover from ailments. Multivitamins enhance growth in the chicks and manage dehydration in them. So, we administered this to them to boost their immunity.
