Agricultural Story #14
Hi everyone I feel happy to partake in this week contest organized by @ruthjoe. Through different idea we share and I believe we are going to learn from each other thoughts. Here is my contribution.
Dates fruit is the most common type of fruit in Arab countries due to high amount of nutrients. These fruits grow on date palms. When we are young, we hear from people who usually say that it will take about 10 years for a date palm to fully mature and start producing sweetened dates. Many farmers plant dates for commercial purposes, aiming to generate a high amount of profit in return. In Nigeria, dates fruit is mostly grown in the northern states. That's why we see different 'aboki' selling this fruit.
During the Ramadan period, Muslims use dates fruit to break their fast because Prophet Muhammad used dates fruit to break his fast when the sun set 🌞. I love dates fruit so much and use it as a good snack to enjoy myself throughout the day. Dates fruit has a lot of health benefits for those who consume it on a daily basis because it is one of the best fruits that improve our health. Dried dates fruit is common in Nigeria, while most of the soft ones can be found in Arab countries and they also imported to Nigeria also.
Dates have nutritional value which provides people with vitamins they need like vitamin B. Our body needs this nutrient to function effectively. Another health benefit is that they contain fiber which helps an individual feel satisfied for a longer period. This enables individuals to meet their body requirements for fiber.
Lastly, due to the sweetness of dates, people can replace artificial sugar with a natural one so that it promote their wellness. We need dates fruit to improve our heart health as well as to build strong muscles in our body.
I would like to invite @entity01, @solaymann and @goodybest to join me in this contest.
