Hello everyone On this occasion I want to participate in a contest held by @okere-blessing about Contest Alert: My Spec in a man or woman.

How often do you hear the word "spec"? In everyday conversation, especially among young people, this word often appears when discussing the criteria or standards desired in something, be it goods, jobs, or even life partners. "Spec" itself is short for "specification," which means a list of certain qualities or characteristics desired from something or someone. In a relationship context, spec is sometimes the criteria an individual wants in non physical terms like personality/personality traits/interests/values they absolutely MUST match up.

You might have heard “He's not my spec,” or getting a partner that fits my spec Says. They have an image in their head of the type of person they wish to be in a partner and therefore are looking amongst people for this mold to fit them. However, to what extent should these specs be the main guideline in finding a partner?

Everyone has different preferences in determining their specs, but there are some basic qualities that should be considered for a healthy and long-lasting relationship:
Good Personality – More than just physical appearance, a person’s nature and character play a big role in a relationship. Patience, understanding, and a sense of responsibility are some examples of personality traits that are worth paying attention to.
Loyalty and Honesty – A healthy relationship is built on trust. Loyalty and honesty are the main keys in keeping a relationship strong.
Ability to Grow Together – A good relationship is not just about finding the perfect partner, but also about how you can grow and support each other.

Another big question is, should someone wait until they find a partner who really matches their specs before getting into a relationship or getting married? The answer depends on how one views the relationship.

Setting criteria is important, but sometimes someone who doesn't exactly match our specs can be the best partner.

Similarity in Alignment of Values and Life Principles — Common beliefs, shared goals or moral belief can allow couples to confront common challenges in a more harmonising way.
Open Communication — Couples that have the ability to communicate openly and mutually will have a much easier time ironing out the differences in their relationship.

When everything we want in a life, turn them all into OUR ideal list and loo we often sleep on people who are real for us. Important to build a strong relationship is acceptance and knowing nobody is perfect when it comes to accepting the differences

Trying to force a relationship with someone that does not love us is simply setting ourselves up for disappointment and inner turmoil. Rather than pursuing someone who does not believe in us, why spend our energy on ourselves and the people worth the hell of our existence.

Ultimately, we have perfected love to mean not just finding a match of our specs but it is about complementing it, and making each other happy with a partner who really understand love to its real — as understood by all. distinctly
