The Dairy Game : How I Spent My Easter Friday|18-04-2025|
This year's memorial of the death of Jesus Christ for us happened to fall on the 18th of April. And normally, Easter Weekends runs for four days, taking Friday to Monday of the next week. So, I'll be sharing with you today how I spent the Friday.

My alarm clock wakes me at 5 :01 am everyday, but that day , I felt very weak and just turned it off and went back to sleeping.
I eventually struggled to wake up after a while. When I check the time , it was already 6:30 am . All the plans I made the previous day for that morning seemed as though it won't be possible. But I just had to try. Because we also must attend Easter service by 9 AM that day. Go visit my mom, which I'll be returning Monday of the next week.
I wanted to do some laundry, mop the house and clean the windows. But omor 😂😂. I just decided to sweep and do laundry . But specifically my clothes.
So , after morning devotion, I went outside to sweep round the house. Then when I was done with that, I took out the dirty clothes and went out to wash them. Sorry I forgot to snap. You should have seen how much they were.
Omor lazy boy things. I've been postponing 😂😂
After like one hour plus thirty minutes, I was finally done with the laundry...So, I went inside to brush and take my bath. My aunt and her daughter plus the maid were already dressed up. And running around with some little relevant or irrelevant things, you know women na 😂.
So, by the time I was done using the bathroom, they were still moving around.
But I wasn't concerned . All I wanted was to finish and resume waiting for them. And it was so. I got dressed up and had to wait extra thirty minutes for this guys...😂
The church service was to commence by 9 like I said earlier. But , this was 9:45 already.."Omor you guys should just do fast , we're running late or we are late already" . I told them.
After like five minutes, my aunt came out of her room and was like let's go let's go..So we left for church.
It was like 20 minutes drive and we were finally in church.
I saw a cross at the entrance of the church. It was like the one that was used to hang Jesus. I wasn't sure of what it was to be used for. I thought it was just for the significance of that day "The crucification of Jesus Christ" . But later that day, I saw the use. It was the drama group that intended to use it .
At least, that was the only thing I enjoyed watching...
Oh, I almost forgot, I also enjoyed the children's rendition.
One thing I enjoyed in the drama was the part where they said JUDAS took thirty piece of Solana to betray Jesus. I sha laughed.
The beating that the Jesus was supposed to collect, all went on the cross.. The soldiers beat the cross until I felt sorry for it.
Even the part that Jesus was to be nailed, they tired him instead.😂😂😂
And when they lifted the cross. The Jesus guy almost fell off😂😂.
After the drama, we had sermon, some few bible reading..I can't lie, I almost slept off. Kind of boring stuffs.
Four hours and still going for one extra. You should have seen the frustration on my face because, I didn't eat that morning. But after some few announcement, the service came to an end.
The house was empty of food. And the thought of going back to start cooking was like a death sentence. So my aunt decided we go to Marketsquare at Ibom Tropicana to eat.

Omor , I chose Macaroni oo. Just something light. Because I knew I'll eat again when we get home. My aunt asked for coconut rice . Omor Macaroni was 800 hundred naira per scoop. And I asked for like 4 scoops. That's 3200 naira..
In steem price today, that's about 19 steems..

Fanta was 600 naira that's about 4 steems....I thought I snapped my food before and after eating. But when I checked, I saw the one when I was done eating.
So , just take a look at my empty plate.😂😂😂😂

This fanta is what I used to wash it down.
When we were done eating, we left for the market section to get some food stuffs . But, we couldn't find what we were looking for. We just had to pick other stuffs like bread, biscuits , toothpaste, etc. And we went home..
My aunt branched one market on our way home to get fresh chicken and food stuffs to cook melon soup. While I went home to start preparing so I could visit my mom.
Our house is in another local government. And on some holidays like this, I usually go to visit my mom.
It wasn't up to 15 minutes,my aunt was back with the food stuffs. So , she ask me to season and cook the chicken,so she can prepare the soup before I leave.
When I was done with the chicken, I made fufu....
Do you know how to make fufu.... I'll teach you sha if you don't.

After making the fufu, I went to call her to cook, while I went to take my bath..
I got dress up , went to check if food was ready, but it wasn't. So I had to check and confirm what I'll be taking with me.
While still doing that , I was called to eat my food. I was the only one eating immediately, because I was about to leave.
After I finished my meal, I took my bag and bid them goodbye..
I had to walk out of my street a bit, so I could find a motorcycle that'll take me to the main road and board a bus to Plaza. I found one, he told me his price which I was not so comfortable with. But I just had to hop on, since I was running late. I'm talking about 5:30 pm here.

I reached the main road, then boarded a bus that was going to plaza. While on transit, dark clouds started forming in the sky, giving a clear indication that there's going to be a rainfall. The driver strated speeding as some heavy rain drops were seen on the windscreen of the vehicle. It got to where I was to drop, so I could cross to the Abak road side of plaza, but the rain became so heavy. I had to highlight quickly and run out to find cover...
While waiting, I met this girl that came from Ikotekpene and she was going towards Nwaniba. Good for her, cos she just had to wait for buses to come , then she'll jump in. Me, I would have to run some few meters towards Abak road before seeing buses that were going that way. So I had to wait for the rain to subside..The place I was standing was as if it wasn't covering me well , as I was completely soaked. The only thing that wasn't really touched with water was my bag which I guarded very well, knowing what I had inside of it...

For about 40 minutes of intense rainfall. It began to subside. I didn't even wait for a second thought when I started running towards Abak raod. I was finally there, I found a Bus that was going towards Ekomiman flyover. It was just one person lefts to full, so a rushed in..
I took some pictures of the kind of flooding that happens at Abak road...
It might not be really clear as it was in the night. But just check it out.
I got to Ekomiman junction, Where I called my mom to confirm if I should reach the house or stop by the church . Because she told me earlier that day that she'll be in the church that evening. This was about 8:30 pm. She answered and told me that she said she was in church, that I should meet her there. So I took a motorcycle straight to where the church was located. I don't really know the exact address. But it is The Apostolic Church, Ndot Abak Area it is very popular around that side. If you ask anyone around there, they'll know. I got there at exactly 9:00pm. I met my mom outside waiting for me.
Pictures I took while inside the church...

Omor I was shaking like I was inside a freezer....cold wan finish me...
After service I greeted some few people I knew, **My grandma's brother, his children and the rest. I thought my grandma was also there, but my mom told me she was at home...
When we got home , there she was. This was around 10:30 pm Omor I was so happy to see her. After a long while. Still healthy and active..
Is your grandma still active.....?😂
Don't take it personal..
This is a picture of her I took the next morning...
Before I cross into another day 😂😂 Let's stop here. Hope you enjoyed reading....
