Good morning, my Steemian family, I hope we are all doing well. I appreciate God for having a reliable Steemit family that cares for its children. God is going to continue blessing everyone in Jesus' name.

MORNING

I woke up today in the hospital knowing that my ankle surgery was going to take place today, so I prayed and appreciated God for divine protection upon my life and asked God to help me with a successful surgery.

After praying, my uncle came in. We greeted each other, and I told him how I was waiting for the doctor and that I needed to take my bath immediately before the arrival of the doctor; he bought bathing soap and a sponge for me and then I took my bath.

While waiting for the doctor

As we were waiting, my mom came in, and we continued waiting, but our uncle, who was in a hurry, left us at his place of work. While we were there, another patient who was scheduled for leg surgery came in.

The doctor arrived around 9 am, and they brought clothes and a nose mask for me before putting me on a drip as we continued waiting. But the other man was picked first for the surgery ahead of me.

They took the man to the theater, where his surgery lasted for one hour; after his surgery, I was told to get ready by putting on the clothes given to me; I got ready. We prayed with my mother, and I moved to the theater.

AFTERNOON

About to enter the theater

At the door of the theater, I was asked to remove my slippers and wear another one into the theater room, and they asked me to lie down, they cut off the hair on my leg and put me under anesthesia by weakening my leg totally so that I could not hear any pain during the surgery.

The anesthesia was applied using an injection to my spinal cord. My legs became weak, and I couldn't fill them again, but from my waist up, I was okay; the nurses were talking to me while the surgery was going on.

It was a new experience as the doctor was using a hammer and other tools to amend the dislocation before using an iron to hold my bone together; after doing that, the doctor applied some substance before stitching it.

After the surgery

The surgery took two hours, and a few minutes, and I was brought back to the hospital ward with the help of a stretcher. I was asked to lie down for seven hours without raising my head; it was very difficult, but I had to do it.

EVENING

My mom left the hospital around 8:30 pm as my uncle came in to stayed me for the night. But as the anesthesia was weak in my body, blood began to flow on and stain the pillow on which I rested my leg.

We told the nurse in charge about the blood, and she told us not to panic and that it would stop. But then I was so hungry as I hadn't eaten since morning following the instructions of the doctor. I letter took tea around 11 pm.

But as th
Please pray for me and other sick ones for quick recovery.

A special invitation to @josepha, @waterjoe, and @ngoenyi to write about their beautiful day. Thank you.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:

I wish you speedy recovery, at least I can tell from experience what it means to be bedridden because of a bone injury. I was with a dear who had a fracture for months. The experience is something else. Thank God she survived the whole pain and came walking again like nothing really happened. You also will soon be out and we are all gonna be here to celebrate with you.
