Contest;... In that Moment

Hello dear friends from Nigerian community. I'm so very excited to be here today. It has been long, I haven't participated in a contest. I am back fully. Thank you @sahmie for this great opportunity to participate in this contest titled: In that moment. It gives me a platform to tell my steemians how my moments were and how I felt during these moments. Please stay with me, let's begin my story

Moments are parts of our lives. We can't do without them because they shape our lives, either positively or negatively. When I look back on my memories, I discovered that many of my activities had made me become happier and happier. However, recent moments have put an endless smile on my face that would forever grace my life.

The principal recommended me to the father as a lesson teacher. At first, I was almost got discouraged with her response while teaching her but I had to exercise patience. Of course she is in Senior Secondary Three, preparing to write external examination (UTME and SSCE). I stay with this girl everyday after school to have an extra class. In the internal Computer Based Test (CBT) to prepare students for the main exams, her scores range between 182 and 195 for a course in Law. I was dissatisfied with these acore and had to do extra work with her with past questions.

Shockingly, last week Thursday, she scored 302 over 400. I was so excited that I couldn't hold my happiness. My joy knew no bound. This is one of the recent moments I had. I was excited that my effort has paid off.

What's a moment you wish you could relive?

There was another moment I wish I could relive. If I have time, I would wish that I relive the moment I had with my wife when she was pregnant. It was a time I was always having a great time with her. I was always treating her like a baby. Although, I'm still showing care and love towards her, but that was a great moment, I did most of the house chores. It made her so happy.

If you could freeze time for just one moment, what would it be?

Wow, moments abound in my life that I wish I could freeze time for. It was a moment I took my English students on a competition and won 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Miracle, Collate, and Bright made me proud. We competed with eight schools and won remarkably with such an unprecedented result. This was when I knew my struggle was not in vain. That was when I was teaching in my former school, Jesus Saves School. When I retrospect on that moment, I wish I could pause it and looks at it time again and again.

What a moment that made you realize how much someone loves you?

Yes, there was a moment in my life that I certainly realized that someone loves me. It was the end of school year; year before last when my literature students after their final exams bought a big gift for me. It was an appreciation for teaching them and making them pass their external examination with flying colours. I didn't really expect that from them. They contributed money and bought me a flat screen television. It really gladden my heart that someone has seen my little effort. I really felt love. God bless my students from Jesus Saves School.

Those were my moments in life that I cherish so much. I value those times and it wish I could turn back the hands of time.
