Wisdom Comes with Age

It is intresting to be among the participants in this contest entitled: wisdom comes with age by @eveetim it gives me joy in the sense that i will express my thoughts,read and engage in fellow steemians post.

what do you understand by the word wisdom?

Wisdom i would simply define as the ability to apply knowledge ,experience,amd good judgement in our daily life.A wise person is someone who has insight , and decerning when making decisions.When issues arises in the family, at work or in a village . We see trie wisdom in action.

do you think great wisdom comes with age or any one can possess it?

Great wisdom comes with age .I disagree that anyone can posses wisdom . For example i am a young person , if i want to step into marriage now for instance its true that i may not succeed because i do not have experience . But if anyone could posses wisdom ,people would wake up one day make decisions and everything will run smoothly . That why we need the advice of the elderly .
If someone a young person who is planning to get married meets an elderly person who has been through that path before , there is no doubt that he will be successful in his marriage ,or business than another young person who did not consult the elderly.
There was a story in the holy book ( Bible ) of a young man who asked God for wisdom. That was solomon he was king and he ruled well hos people enjoyed , there was peace because God gave him wisdom .In his case he was young he posses great wisdom but his own source of wisdom was extraordinary because it came from above. But one way the other wisdom lies in the hands of our elderly .

if wisdom should come with age ,do you agree that all elders are wise ?

yes i do agree that all elders are wise . by and large we will need their experience we will need their opinion . we will need their advice and encouragement .

what is your personal understanding of elders possesimg wisdom

It is true that elders are known to be rich when it comes to experience.The elderly are rich in knowledge . They must have endured one thing or another they must have accumulated so much knowledge . Therefore elders possessing wisdom i could say is an elder who offers practical advice.

They play a crucial role in keeping traditional knowledge customs and values they keep these and transfer to the next generations.

Guidance and counsel : elders are know for counselling and offering advice ,when someone has an issue in marriage , relationship etc .
