The diarygame Week 6 of A Child, A Million Smiles"😊: Sustainable Feeding Program For School Children In Nigeria. (19/02/2025)
I am so happy that I didn't miss week 6 of A CHILD A MILLION SMILES because that day was too hectic for me but since I find joy in doing charity work I said to myself I will not miss this one.
It was already announced in our Whatsapp group that on the 19/02/2025 that we will be visiting greenstar international school for week 6 outreach.
This particular day was a busy day for me because I already had about two extra programs that day.
The program were
- WEEK6 A CHILD A MILLION SMILES
- BOOK LAUNCHING OF DR BLESSING
- ATTENDING CHURCH PROGRAM IN THE EVENING
THese three event were so special to me that I had to think of dividing myself to meet up with the time.
Waking up in the early morning of 6am, bath then dressed up for my morning exercise so as to have strength for the day activities.
My morning routine is very important to me because it keeps me fits and it will help me to withstand all the stress.
The training took about 3 hours, 1 hours 45 minutes for football and about an hour for aerobics dance exercise.
So I pack my load that is my dress for the outreach and the functions I will be attending there off.
Reaching the field, the exercise was already in progress so I join them.
After the exercise we had about few minutes rest then we enter the field for football, I was with yellow team and we won the blue team 1:0.
The football match was played for 45 minutes for first half and the same minutes for second half and we all go back home.
After the match we gathered and took a group picture
The yellow T-shirt was just for the match that is to identify which team one belongs to and after the match we return the jessi and put on our sports wears
Since I came prepared I didn't go back home because of high prices on transportation so I followed @ngoenyi and family to their house then I changed from there and get prepared for the outreach.
Greenstar international school was the school, it is located located behind Apostolic Church after Ifa Atai Big Junction, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. It's comprises of nursery, primary, and secondary students.
Reaching there we meet with a man I don't know if that was the owner of the school, so he ask us to wait a little for the students to be through with their test, and since our main concerns was with the nursery and primary section we had to wait and by this time it was passed 12noon, so I was hungry, I located a nearby shop and I bought biscuits and Garry and eat.
This particular food really helps to quench the hunger, so we still have to wait for the children to be done so that we can attend to them. As were seating, I saw ice cream and I bought it because the weather was very hot and I couldn't withstand the hotness so I bought the ice cream and lick.
After a few minutes the pupils were asking to come outside and I was attracted to this particular kids, I saw them putting on the same uniform and they were very cute, the look alike and I asked questions and I was told they are twins and myself I am twins too so I quickly took them pictures, this children are identical twins and I wonder how the parents identify them.
The kids were well organized without noise and this are very small children and they were about 150 pupils and I learnt that the secondary is about 150 too and @ngoenyi promised to visit them in week7.
So @ngoenyi gave her speech and address the pupils on how to be on good behaviors and she told them about our mission and who the donors are and they were so happy to receive us.
The raw food was shared to them and yo can imagine the excitement in them, maybe some of them has not had the opportunity to eat noodles and that day we fulfill their wish and they were so happy.
We too some group pictures of the pupils and then we left the school with our team. It was a beautiful moment.
Here are some of the pictures we look
By the time we were done in the school it was passed 2pm and I needed to attend the book launch because I was given an invitation and I needed to honour the event, so I didn't change again and I put a call across and I was told the event was still on going, I moved straight to the venue. The book launch took place at Civil Defense Auditorium Hall in State Secretariat.
Reaching there the books were already launched but I still thank God I reached the closing part and I was able to buy three of her books which I am not yet done reading them, when I am done I will give details of what the books are all about.
So I waited until the launching was over and I pleaded with Dr Blessing for forgiveness and I told her about the outreach and the reason I couldn't meet up on time, I gave her my support and we took some pictures together.
my self with Dr Blessing
By the time we were done it was passed 4pm, I was very tired and this was Wednesday which was my church midweek service, that is Communion service, this is one service I don't like missing and I said to myself that if I reach home I won't be able to attend the service so it will be best for me to pass down to the church at once, so I was given some food at the book launch and I was filled, I passed down to the church at once. Church service start by 5pm and I was able to meet up. By this time my phone went off and I couldn't take more pictures again.
When the church was over I came back home, took my bath and I went straight to bed because I was very tired.
So guys this was how my day went and I thank God that I was able to attend all the functions I had for that day.
