My Neighborhood Watch #91 - Reporting Events Around us
Hello and greetings everyone, regarding to all my fellow amiable steemians colleagues and friends across the globe most especially the ones in this tremendous community, it's a pleasure to have you in the week #91 of this amazing contest; My Neighborhood Watch - Reporting Events Around us usually organized by @xkool24.
Still in the process of road construction in my area along Nike lake road in Enugu state Nigeria, they have been a massive demolition of houses and shops along the roadside for the past one week by the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in Enugu state.
This exercise have been going on for a while now but this time around they came up with full force and less sympathy unlike when they started some people pleaded to relocate in a short time but this time around it wasn't like before, instead the demolition have even extended up to a point where people never expect it to reach.

Caterpillar demolishing some shops and houses along the roadside
Both surveyors, geologist, civil and structural engineers, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, and other road construction workers have been in this project for days now that is a sign that they are putting their best to see that everything is been put in place within a short while, i think the government are building and investing on road to pursue human and economic growth and development and also to enables the citizens to participate in the social and economic community and provides them with necessities such as good roads, food, water and other basic amenities.

Some house/shops destroyed by the caterpillar
Atleast after this road construction will help enhance easy movement of vehicles from one place to another in my area most especially Nowas junction and T-junction along Nike lake road here in Enugu without heavy traffic unlike before when passenger and goods are stacked in traffic spending most time in hold up, just few days ago two drivers almost disabled each other fighting uncontrollably and putting blame on themselves if not for the police that came up on time to settle the fight the story would have ended in different way because the crowd didn't have time for them instead they were just watching them fighting, all this is because of hold caused by heavy traffic and insufficient road space.

so they have made available contractors and different road building tractors which there use to demolish bad roads and rebuild new ones in my area and i can say the government are really doing a great job in this aspect of development and i pray it doesn't pause like some other uncompleted projects the government abandoned halfway.
I have come to the end point of the week #91 of this amazing contest, i will like to appreciate the organizer as well as inviting my fellow steemians @jasminemary @saintpaul17 @pandora2010 to take part in this contest.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
I feel so bad when I see houses and shops of people been demolished. It's not like the government makes provision for them else where. May God help us.

This is shocking but in the other hand,I think government has done the needful before this demolition of structures.
Though development is a nice thing but it is bad when people hard earned money is destroyed like this.
Thank you for sharing with us to know what is going on in Enugu state, Nigeria
