My Neighborhood Watch #89 - Reporting Events Around us**

I had an opportunity to visit a high institution in my area. I went there to see a lecturer to make some inquiries from her

On getting to the, the environment gave me memories of school days. The students were busy moving from one lecture venue to another; some gathered at a place having a discussion, others were having jokes and laughing, some were going home, and others were just coming to school. I guess they were coming late, according to their time of lecture.

I waited for the woman I came to see for about an hour because she was busy with students, so I had a hard time observing things happening in the environment. The lectures were not out of my observation; they were also busy with their lecturing, some coming out from the lecture hall while some were going in to lecture the students. You would see the course rep coming to remind some of their lectures with them.

In fact, I witness a serious argument going on between a course rep and a student. The reason for their argument was that the course had gone to fix a practical day with their lecturer and the student comes to school from a far distance and spends a lot on transportation also Mondays are their free lecture day so she was angry why the practical should fix that day by the course rep knowing she doesn't come to school that day due to. The expenses of paying transport to come into school. She wanted the course rep to fix the practical on one of the lecture days that she would be in school, and the course rep refused, so it turned into a heated argument. But it was resolved with the intervention of a lecture.

After a while, the woman came and attended to me and I left. My stay there for a few hours reminded me a lot of my school days; it was a stressful one moving from one lecture venue to another in the hot sun, which you have no option but to attend; there were also some happy moments when you laugh and joke with friends.

The school structures were renovated, and all looked neat, with spacious lecture halls accommodating the students. I remember the year I got admitted to the university; the school admitted so many students that the lecture hall could not accommodate all of us. Some people have to stand outside and take lectures through the window. When we have 7am lectures, my friends and I leave the hotel by 5am just to get a seat. When you get to the lecture hall by 5am, you will see other students sitting already, and you will wonder if they slept there.

It was a good experience anyway, all that we went through during school days introduced us to an independent life, moulded some of us into who we are today and stood tall in any challenges and situations we find ourselves in life

In This school environment, we meet people with different backgrounds and build relationships that improve us both professionally and personally. Some friends formed in higher institutions last for a life. My visit to the school was good for me because of the good old memories it brought.
