Contest; ... In that Moment

in Steem4Nigeria3 days ago

A very warm greetings to everyone here in this amazing space, the Steem4Nigeria community as a whole, and a special appreciation to our @sahmie for organizing this very beautiful reflection-based contest. I’m indeed grateful for this opportunity to also journey inward and share a part of my soul with you all.

When talking about one's moment, Some moments are indeed loud, while others, quietly powerful. But in all, it takes one moment to shift our dear world, define our true paths, or uncover the depth of our own emotions. So as I reflect on those moments that have shaped me, I find it not just as memories, but markers of growth, pain, passion, and of course love. Each one of it whispers to me, “This is who you’re truly becoming.”

What's the most recent "moment" that made you feel truly alive?

This the most recent moment just during my teaching practice at Ray-field International Secondary School, standing before a class of those students who once doubted themselves in getting a grasp of my lesson. I only had just completed a lesson on the topic Hydrocarbons (Alkanes), and to my greatest surprise, one of the quietest students then raised his hand and solved the boardwork with a full confidence. In that very moment, I truly felt truly alive.

  • I did see that I wasn’t just a student-teacher in their mist, I'll love to put it this way that maybe I was a light, a voice and a guide because the results i get from the students was something entirely different from what my class teacher told me about them during lessons when I arrived. I so much felt the power of purpose in motion as my lessons was always successful and knowledge passed.

What's a moment you wish you could relive?

I’d definitely go back to that very one called the low waist dance I performed at my grandmother’s funeral just a year back. It not just because of the rhythm or the moves, but it because of what it meant to me and the moment i had. I was really dancing through tears, celebrating a genius woman who poured love into me endlessly and time. All that moment did was to remind me of how joy and pain can co-exist together. It was indeed raw, Real. I sees the need to relive it just to feel her whole presence one more time again, through every beats with her dancing steps, moves and every clap.

If you could freeze time for just one moment, what would it be?

I will definitely freeze the moment I stood in front my school, University of Uyo's map project, proudly mapping all the facilities in Annex campus for Steem Atlas. I know it wasn’t about the recognition alone, it was about realizing that I was contributing something meaningful beyond myself. So in that frozen second, I was sincerely bridging education, technology, and purpose. The past me would've never for once 🔂 imagined this version of me.

What's a moment that made you realize how much someone loves you?

  • It was on this amazing evening 🌆 though late, and I had just come home from a very long day juggling in school and fashion designing in my cousin's shop. I had nothing at home to eat and it was already late, my neighbor—tired herself—had to warmed her food for me, without a word. She simply said to me, “Eat before you sleep.” That simple gesture act hit me so deeply till date. In that moment, I then realized that love doesn’t always shout. Sometimes, it only serves us quietly. So on this day, I saw love 💗 in her eyes, in her hands and in her sacrifice.

Conclusion

Moments shape us. They always speak truth in a silence and help mold growth out of chaos. In that moment, we uniquely find clarity. And only in sharing them, we would find connection. Thank you all once again for reading and reflecting with me.

I invite @spektro223, @deetalka6 and @bessie2023.
