Dear Diary
As the first day of the week, Mondays often set the tone for what's to come. Thankfully, today was a blissful one, filled with a mix of activities that nourished my body, mind, and spirit.
From sweating it out with the StayFit Fitness Club to recharging with a rejuvenating nap, and lending a helping hand to a dear Steemian couple, my day was a beautiful balance of self-care and community connection. Let me take you through the highlights of my day...
MORNING ACTIVITIES

My day began at 6:00 AM with a meaningful start - a 5-minute scripture examination and prayer with my family. This quiet moment together sets a positive tone for the day.
After completing a few household chores, I geared up for my workout, donning my favorite exercise outfit. I headed to our training ground, eager to join my teammates for a morning of physical activity.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by my teammates, who were already immersed in various exercises. Today's focus was on upper body exercises, so after a warm-up lap around the field, Coach @ngoenyi provided our workout program. Here are some snapshots from our morning session:

This morning's workout with StayFit Fitness Club was an intense upper body session. We tackled a series of exercises designed to strengthen our muscles, with one exception - the Step-up with Tyre, which targeted our lower body.
Each program consisted of 3-4 sets of 30 repetitions, depending on individual physical ability. We took regular breaks to rehydrate and recharge, ensuring we could push ourselves to the limit.
The team spirit and motivation within the group made the 2-hour session fly by. But I wasn't quite done yet. I added an extra 30 minutes of chest-building exercises, using weights and dumbbells to push my limits. Feeling accomplished and exhausted, I wrapped up my fitness training for the day.

After wrapping up our fitness training, I returned the equipment and headed out with my coach, ngoenyi, to the nearest junction. We snapped a quick selfie together to capture the moment.
As we walked, we ran into @jewel005, who was on his way to open up his boss's barbing salon for the day. We exchanged pleasantries before parting ways.
Soon after, Ma'am ngoenyi arranged for her regular bike man at the nearest junction to pick me up and take me to her house. From there, I collected a cooler and embarked on a delivery mission to drop it off with one of our StayFit members.

After completing the delivery, I handed the cooler over to the man I met in the woman's house, who happened to be her husband. The bike man then kindly dropped me back off at the small junction where we first met.
I hopped on a keke (tricycle) and headed home, feeling exhausted and drained from the morning's activities. As soon as I arrived, I freshened up and refueled with a delicious breakfast of white soup and garri.
The combination of physical exertion and satisfying meal proved to be a potent one, and I soon found myself succumbing to a well-deserved nap🛌🏾.
AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
After a rejuvenating nap, I woke up around 1 pm feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the day. With a relatively light schedule, I focused on a few productive activities.

First, I created my diary game of yesterday, and I published my daily fitness routine post in the Steemfit & Stayfit community, sharing the exercises we did to build our upper body and providing tips on proper execution.
Next, I scrolled through Instagram and watched a few entertaining reels. Finally, I turned my attention to preparing my assignment for our upcoming midweek Christian meeting on Thursday.
With these tasks completed, I felt satisfied with my relaxed yet productive afternoon.
EVENING ACTIVITIES
I received a distressing call from Ma'am ngoenyi, informing me that her broilers had fallen ill and one had unfortunately passed away. As Jehovah's Witnesses, we adhere to the biblical principle of not consuming blood, so it was essential to take swift action to minimize further loss.
Ma'am ngoenyi requested my assistance in slaughtering the remaining broilers while they attended their Christian meeting. I readily agreed to help, as I not only enjoy this type of work but also find joy in assisting others☺️. It's moments like these that remind me of the importance of being there for one another.

I made my way to Ma'am ngoenyi's house, taking a keke to the junction and then hopping on a bike for the remainder of the trip. The total fare came out to 400 naira, approximately 1.4 Steem.
Upon arrival, I found the family ready to depart for their Christian meeting. They handed over the necessary tools and supplies, and I assured them I'd take care of everything until their return.
With a nod, they were off, leaving me to tackle the task at hand. I took a deep breath, took off my t-shirt, rolled up my trousers and began the slaughtering process😂.

I began by setting the fire and boiling water, preparing for the task ahead. With the water at a rolling boil, I carefully selected each chicken and humanely slaughtered them, one by one. There were seven in total.
To be honest, it was a sad experience, taking the lives of these innocent creatures😢. However, I understood the necessity of the task and the importance of minimizing further suffering. With a sense of responsibility, I carried out the duty entrusted to me.

After slaughtering the chickens, I set about preparing them for consumption. With seven chickens to process, I had to boil water twice to remove their feathers and clean them thoroughly. The entire process, from dressing to cutting and cleaning the intestines, gizzards, heads and livers, took around 2 hours.
Fortunately, I've had experience with this task in the past, so it didn't feel overwhelming. Plus, listening to music made the time fly by and even made the experience enjoyable.
Below are some of the vital parts of a chicken that we take special care with😁

I've often noticed people discarding the liver, head, and intestine of a chicken, usually throwing them into the bush. I never understood why they'd waste such valuable parts.😂
@wizzyboy3 who's ma'am ngoenyi's son enlightened me on their importance, especially the head. I got the impression he has a soft spot for chicken heads. Following his advice, I made sure to preserve those vital parts.
As @benton3 drove the family into compound, wizzyboy3 was happy to see the liver, head, and intestine neatly stored together. His enthusiasm was rewarding, and I was happy to have done things right.
As night began to fall, I bid the family farewell, grateful for the opportunity to lend a helping hand. Ma'am ngoenyi and her family were beaming with appreciation, and as a token of their gratitude, she generously gifted me a whole chicken to take home.😲
I was deeply touched by her kindness and couldn't wait to share the news with my parents. Upon arriving home, I presented the chicken to them, and they were equally delighted. They even offered to call Ma'am ngoenyi personally to express their thanks.

With rice already at home, we decided to whip up a delicious pepper soup with the chicken. The aroma wafting from the kitchen was irresistible, and soon we sat down to enjoy a mouthwatering dinner of pepper soup rice with chicken. It was the perfect ending to a fulfilling day. This is my diary, Goodnight.☪️

Thank you so much for coming to our rescue. Imagine losing all of them! Well, it's an experience that I have just added to the list of the ones I have. I truly appreciate and you deserve even more. All thanks to Jehovah
The exercise was great. Everyone really did great. See you one Wednesday
I'm really for the loss ma'am 😔
Your readiness to be of assistance was well appreciated by us. Thank you so much.
Thank you too sir for the full chicken ☺️
Hmm, I think you are so good in dealing with chicken. The way you slaughter them, undress them and clean them up, I am sure you will be a very good dad when the time is ripe.
Even though it was a loss, you guys enjoyed it all. All the best!
Yeah I'm good. It's a business I ventured into 4 years back but later stopped to pursue my career. Sure, I'll be a good dad, I pray for a good mom too, haha. Thanks for stopping by.
No wonder. I'm impressed. When the time is ripe, the good mom would be somewhere waiting, you don't need to stress. God bless your hustle!
Amen 🙌🏾
