Steemit.com gets 360 000 unique visitors per day http://steemit.com.hypestat.com/compare/medium.com and is soon going to be in the top 1000 most visited websites in the world.
So it's safe to say that advertisers will soon start to seriously look for business opportunities here.
Big established company like coca-cola will come whenever they feel the userbase is big enough, they are on youtube with 2Million followers, steem doesn't even have 1M users yet so they won't come anytime soon but smaller brand will likely be taking a closer look . If there was a marketplace integrated here i believe it would attract a lot more businesses, there is already escrow functionnality so it will probably come soon. @appics will have a marketplace integrated too, the benefits are obvious.

There is no need to gather accounts, what's needed is a website that connects advertisers and authors where advertisers pay directly authors to have their ad resteemed. Just like I did above but in a more streamlined automated way.
