Fuente Osmeña Circle, Cebu City

Fuente Osmeña Circle - a century old fountain found at the center of the park, it is a roundabout, which it was built in 1912 during the city's inaugural of the first waterways system. It is located at Fuente Rotunda Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City, it is called the city's central park. The park is named after President Sergio Osmeña Sr., the only Cebuano who became the fourth President of the Republic of the Philippines.
Cebuanos are most familiar with the Fuente Circle, as it is an easily accessible area in the city. Which the park’s iconic view are most favorite spot of many local painters.

And if you want to do an exercise likes walking and jogging, then there was a circular walkway that surrounds the outer portion of the park. And if you feels a bit tired in exercising, then you can also sit and relax on the designated benches which provides in the park.

There was also an open field which has enough space for any intense outdoor activities likes, dancing, martial arts training or just want some picnic with families. And it is spacious enough, which it is also surrounded by tall trees that makes it convenient to hang-out all the day.

There is a designated place of garbage bin which provided by LGU's where people can put their trash and garbage. Which always stated in my previous post and my always important reminders, no littering, no vandalism in the area and put your garbage in the proper waste disposal just to avoid any fines.

The park is surrounded by many business establishments, from fast-food chains, eating cafeterias and big shopping mall. And in every December, you can expect a huge crowd of people where it lighted-up the "Tree of Hope" every year, which many Cebuano's go to the park for hanging-out and enjoy the holiday season in the evening during this time.

And how to get this place? Actually, public transportations in Cebu is that there too many routes but just an advice, you can take with my route experiences and fare scenarios if traveling with a shoestring, and I'm coming from Lapu-lapu City and where Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) located, then I am going to ride a public utility bus (PUB) with a route of Mactan to Parkmall with a fare of (0.63 US$), then ride again with PUB route Parkmall to Colon with a fare of (0.44 US$) and drop-off in Manalili Street and lastly, ride with a public utility jeepney (PUJ) with a route of Colon to Fuente with a fare of (0.23 US$). But if you ride with your private vehicle, ask your driver to drop-off infront Robinsons Mall and parked your car in the establishment designated parking area, then from there you can see already the said park infront of the mall.

So from there, Fuente Osmeña Circle is walking by foot or if you also accompanied with a tour guide just for more convenient ways, then there were designated pedestrian lanes where you can be able to cross and to reach the area, which is people crossing are most prioritized than vehicles.

And don't need to worry on your safety because there is a Police Outpost outside the vicinity which maintains the peace and order situations.

Overall, it is a public park so therefore, no entrance fee which it is a 24 hours opened daily, so meaning you can visit their at all times. And it is an iconic structure that is closely associates with Cebu and it is no doubt that it is one of the most well-known city's natural park.

Actually you're right, most Cebuanos are conducting their outdoor activities in the park, like sight-seeing or just strolling around because the place is airy which is perfect to reflects oneself.
