All Rights Reserved

That's what everything I write is. All rights are reserved and that means it doesn't matter if something is steemexclusive or not.. I've written about this before. I think it's crazy that when I post something on this platform I give away the rights to what I've created. That's not the case. I'm not on the payroll of Steemit Inc or anyone else and what I write is what I call my "spiritual heritage" to which no one else has rights than me or my heirs if there are any. And what applies to me also applies to others and that makes sense after all plagiarism is not allowed and is also challenged on this platform at least if it is discovered and that is often not the case.

In the past Steemians have published several books with stories but also manuals related to Steemit. The #howto hashtag was used quite a few times then and it would be easy if all those posts could be found.
Coming back to the books that have been published. Also, the stories in here belong to the author and not to Steemit Inc. I think Steemit should be happy if good writers and artists want to invest their time in a platform and also publish a book (a printed edition) where Steemit is mentioned without expecting anything in return.

I wonder how others see it. The hashtag steemexclusive and whether this means that everyone who uses this hashtag also hands over all rights. Of course it is possible that 99 percent of everyone who posts something here does not care what happens to the umpteenth diary or scribble, but for those who are more passionate or a professional this will certainly be the case. Incidentally, this does not only apply to writers and painters but also to photographers. I cannot imagine that the most famous photographers here do not use the photos they post here anywhere else.

All rights reserved applies to everyone who creates something and there is no hashtag that can change that in any way. If I had a platform I would be happy if inspired and professional people would participate and be willing to share their work. Let's face it, it is mostly only these people who will attract people with similar interests and passion for what they do.

"All rights reserved" is a copyright notice indicating that a copyright holder owns all exclusive rights to a work and no one else may use it unless granted permission.[source}(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_rights_reserved)

I agree. Not more to say about it. Whether you receive an upvote or not whatever you post belongs to you and is in your account. Now I think of it if this isn't the case does this mean that steemit is also responsible for what is written if this is negative, insulting, discrimating?

#wewrite #comment

I doubt there's anyone taking responsibility for what is written except for the author. The only responsibility Steemit might take is downvoting or ?

What you have said up there made me stop and think "I am giving away the rights of my writing".

Although, my understanding may interpreted this as something while it is something else. But, I do not think that is the case. Because, whenever you write something, you would always be the creator. Whether it was steemexclusive or not. You may still use it in future writings without having to refer to someone else for the rights as you are the original creator.

We talk about more here. Steemexclusive means not posting it elsewhere. Does this also mean I am not allowed to use it elsewhere? Teaching or publishing a book? Since that is actually, what this hashtag means. It's the signature it's exclusive for this platform and it will not be used somewhere else!

Ummm... That does not sound like something that someone would want in a piece of text the represent a significant value to him. For instance, if someone was playing the "Diary Game" thing and he mentioned Steemexclusive. The text used in that post might never been used again anyway. So, it would not matter if it was a Steemexclusive or not.

However, it might make a difference when talking about a poem or a short story that somebody wrote. He might be thinking of reusing it again elsewhere. So, that might require one to think whether to make it an exclusive thing here or not.

I don't agree with you. I understand that a piece of text in a diary should not be copy pasted in a new diary unless it is a reference to what is rote earlier but what if I decide to use the diaries I wrote to publish?
There are plenty of diaries being bestsellers. BTW if it comes to repeating: filling out the diary template is a kind of compy-paste as well. It'sn not very original and I find it hard to believe all the diaries look the same which means the days are but we deal with time, unexpected events and the mood plays a role as well.

No matter what we write it belongs to the author and one can not commit plagiarism with own content only spam.

I agree that "All rights reserved" protects creators ownership. Platforms should value the creators.

Plus I'm here to connect with like-minded people as I'm new in Steemit.

It doesn't sound to me that works that are not well rewarded are copyrighted. As you were saying, that's part of my creation (or our creation). Why should rights be given away for important works that sometimes go unnoticed? Despite their proven quality.

#wewrite #comment

are you saying that if a work is properly rewarded you no longer own it? That sounds weird. We don't even know who Steemit is. Will you give your rights away? Unlike you I didn't write much in average worth publishing but I didn't sign anything and what I read as I signed up for steemit is that I'm on my own and can't expect any help.

I don't know what the translator I use was able to translate for you. But an author should not hand over his copyright at all. Don't feel that you write badly. There are readers for all kinds of writing. I have read many of the things you write and I like them. It's normal to feel that what you write is not the best. It happens to all of us.
