Mie Goreng

Hiya Everyone! Tori here! Today, I'll be showcasing a popular snack and street dish in Zamboanga, Philippines. Mie Goreng is a spicy indonesian-style noodle dish served with thick, savoury, and sweet sauce, topped with eggs, vegetables, and other possible combinations that you may think of. Sometimes, people use curry powder to add a bit of kick as well as to elevate the flavors that it already has. I really love eating this when it's rainy or when I'm at school because it's just your typical after school comfort snack as a college student (well before the pandemic). After a tiring day of nursing school, I always go back to this to find comfort and I really just love food in general.
