Victims of House Fire in Bireuen Receive Panic Relief Assistance.
The Bireuen Regency Government, Aceh Province, distributed panic relief assistance to victims of a house fire in Tanjong Beuridi Village, Peusangan Selatan District, Bireuen, Friday, 28/02/2025.
The panic relief assistance was distributed through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the Social Service and was received by the victim of the house fire, Tizalilkha, accompanied by village officials and residents.
The assistance in the form of rice, mineral water, and kitchen supplies and other necessities was immediately handed over to the victims after the incident.
The Head of the Bireuen Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) through the Commander of Squad (Danru) B of the Bireuen BPBD Rapid Reaction Team (TRC), Faisal, accompanied by members, told several media crews that the assistance was given as a form of concern from the Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab) to ease the needs of victims after the incident.
"We hope that this panic assistance will help ease the needs of the victims and their families after this disaster," he said.
Danru B TRC BPBD also said that when receiving information that the victim's house was on fire, five fire engines from three fire stations were immediately deployed to the scene.
However, the long distance to the location and the rapid spread of the fire that burned the victim's house, so that the house belonging to Tizalikha (50), a housekeeper in Dusun Gunawan, Gampong Tanjong Beuridi, was completely burned down.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bireuen Social Service Ismunandar, ST, MT through the Secretary of the Social Service, Dr. Alfian, M.Pd, told several media crews that the assistance distributed was a form of real concern from the Bireuen Regency Government to the community affected by the disaster.
"The presence of the Bireuen Social Service, Baitul Mal, and Peusangan Selatan Sub-district Head is a direct order from the Bireuen Regent, Mr. Mukhlis, ST, who is currently still outside the area. This panic assistance is expected to ease the burden of the victims' daily needs," said Alfian during the handover of assistance on Saturday (1/3/2025).
The house belonging to Tizalikha, a resident of Gunawan Hamlet, Tanjong Beuridi Village, Peusangan Selatan Sub-district, along with all its contents burned down on Friday (28/2/2025) at around 21.00 WIB.
The fire occurred when the homeowner was away performing Tarawih prayers. When the fire occurred, the house, which is about 20 km south of Peusangan Village, Bireuen, was empty.
Gunawan Hamlet Head, Anwar (31) accompanied by a number of residents told several media crews that at the time of the incident, the homeowner and his child were praying Tarawih at the Gampong Tanjong Beuridi mosque which was hundreds of meters from the location of the fire.
The source of the fire was not yet clear, suddenly residents saw the victim's house was on fire. "The first flames appeared from behind, suspected to have come from the remaining embers in the wooden kitchen behind the victim's house," he explained.
Receiving information about the fire, five fire engines belonging to the Bireuen Regency Government from the Bireuen City Main Post, Kutablang Assistant Post and Juli Post, were deployed to the location of the incident which was more than 20 kilometers from the center of Bireuen City.
Upon arriving at the location, firefighters together with residents immediately extinguished the flames. The rapid spread of the fire that burned the semi-permanent building meant that the house and all its contents could not be saved.
Officers and residents helped save the semi-permanent house belonging to Fatimah Ismail (80), the victim's neighbor who was affected by the fire on the back side wall.
