The Diary Game: 18/8/2020: Always Celebrate With Others

Dear Tuesday diary,

Today is a beautiful, full of potentials. I got to office late because I woke up late, around 8:15 a.m. Nigerian time.

For breakfast, I took ekpangnkukwu and took some to work for lunch. It’s a very nice meal, prepared yesterday by my beautiful wife.

Today is our secretary, Grace’s birthday. A lot of packaging she put in place to celebrate. You need to see her make up and the difference in her dressing today.

Me I was just observing as different workers came to tell her happy birthday. The I.T. person, mr Imekan came in to do something different, by singing for her.

I now asked him why he does not use the wonderful voice to sing in choir. He said he had tried joining choir before now, but his voice failed him. I don’t know how true that is.

Madam DCC actually supported me on that. So, we all attacked him, making him stop the song halfway just to beg us to let him finish.
Back to work

The DCC called me to confirm that she is putting the right welders’ register in the folders of the right job. I just had to show her the welders’ numbers on the visual weld inspection report and match it to the active welders in the welders’ register.

That cleared, she also asked about one of the jobs, Winch based grillage, to know if it was full fabrication or modification. I told her it’s full fabrication.

The reason for asking was that she can correct it in the job procedure she was updating.

Something funny

The secretary just made us bust into laughter, by saying that madam is too serious at work without even giving her attention on her birthday. I supported her, telling madam to take example from me because I have been cheering her up.

That’s how she turned to attack me, saying that I’m lying. For, me I was just waiting for the cake she ordered, so I can follow sing happy birthday and take plenty of pictures.

The cake finally came and the celebrations began. Check out the pictures.
