Charity || Practicing worship for children
Dear friends, admins and all moderators of the community. In order to welcome the holy month of Ramadan which is just around the corner. For the children in our school, especially those in the upper classes, namely grades 4, 5 and 6, we are starting to teach and practice various kinds of worship, so that the children have a more solid knowledge of how to carry out worship. This activity is of course specifically guided by teachers who teach Islamic religious subjects at our school. However, other teachers, including me, also helped guide the children's worship practices at our school, which took place a few days ago.
This worship practice activity aims to introduce the correct worship procedures to the children in our school. Because with Islamic religious education lessons lasting 4 hours a week, it is certainly not enough for religious teachers to guide these practical activities. However, several hours on other subjects are also involved, in order to provide a good and correct understanding to children, especially in terms of daily worship practices.
The worship practices that we apply to the upper class children in our school start from performing ablution properly. Because generally children often ignore the right things when it comes to performing ablution, moreover they do it just as long as they finish.
Furthermore, we also teach you how to dress and cover your private parts properly when praying. Of course, we specifically apply and practice this activity to female students only. Because in terms of covering the private parts when performing prayers, there are also many mistakes made, both by adults and especially children.
The next act of worship that we practiced yesterday was congregational prayer, which is the basic act of worship for Muslims wherever they are. Moreover, congregational prayers will be held regularly, on the nights of the upcoming month of Ramadan, namely tarawih prayers.
Regarding other forms of worship that we practice, we deepen the children's knowledge and memorization of the reading of Asmaul Husna. Because reading Asmaul Husna is a basic routine in the early morning, which we usually do on Thursday and Saturday mornings.
This activity was carried out due to the efforts made by the principal and the entire board of teachers at SD Negeri 2 Nisam, in terms of providing more understanding to children regarding good and correct ways of worshiping. This activity was followed enthusiastically by everyone in our school, where the practice took place in a class, namely class 5A, considering that there is no prayer room available in our school, let alone elementary schools, where the government does not provide a special place of worship considering that the study schedule does not even exceed the noon prayer time.
Dear friends, that is a snippet of my presentation on today's occasion. I really hope for the best suggestions and comments from all my friends. Sorry if there are any mistakes in presenting this post, Wassalam.
