Actsofkindness || Cleaning the roof of the mosque
Dear friends, admins and all moderators of the community. In order to welcome the holy month of Ramadan in a few days. Sku, who is part of the mosque management in my village, volunteered to clean the roof of the mosque. I did this because a lot of leaves fell and rotted on the roof, which also blocked the flow of water through the pipes, causing water to seep into the mosque if it rained heavily.
On Tuesday afternoon towards the afternoon, I did the roof cleaning activity, of course with another mosque teenager. I started this work from 15.00 to 17.00 West Indonesia Time. During the 2 hours of cleaning, of course it wasn't just leafy rubbish that I cleaned, but a lot of leftover construction materials that had rotted on top. Below are several sheets of documentation of my activities in cleaning the roof of my village mosque.
In addition, there are also living plants attached to the roof of the mosque which are feared to cause the roof to leak. I also uprooted the plant all at once by the roots. As well as lots of other rotting rubbish such as boards and rocks.
Cleaning the roof of the mosque is of course an initiative that arises from me personally, because I often see rainwater leaking at several points on the roof of the mosque when it rains heavily. Of course, the main cause is that the water drainage pipe from the roof of the mosque is covered with leaves and other rubbish.
Apart from that, the mosque committee also cut down a tree that was growing around the mosque grounds a few days ago. It is because of the leaves from these trees that the roof of our village mosque has a lot of leaf litter. This causes water seepage to flow into the mosque.
However, the main purpose of this cleaning activity is just to welcome the holy month of Ramadan 1446 Hijrah. Because in the morning the mosque khadams also do the same thing, namely cleaning the ablution area to the toilet, as well as inside the mosque, where many worshipers will come to worship at night and day 15 in the month of Ramadan.
Dear friends, that is a snippet of my presentation on today's occasion. I really hope for the best suggestions and comments from all my friends. Sorry if there are any mistakes in presenting this post, Wassalam.
