Hello incredible steemkids and parents, today I will be sharing a real life story in this platform through this weekly contest as today has to do with poems, storywriting and others. I had a long day so I couldn't post in the day time. At least I finished creating this post before 12am. Stay active as I share a real life story about my uncle

A story about my uncle

Am from Delta state and I live with my family in Rivers state. My mother's elder brother has lived for a lot of years without getting married and this has been a burden to the family, he's the first son of my maternal grandparents but he has refused to marry since. All his siblings are married including the last born but he's not yet married.

I don't even know why he has decided not to get married since. He's a very God-fearing man with great ambitions and I heard he has never fell ill for once since he was born and that's really good, God has always been giving him good health.

Late last year my parents and I with my siblings were surprised to hear that our uncle has finally decided to get married, we were all happy for him and he successfully went for the introduction last year. We were informed that the white wedding is scheduled to take place within this year April or May. Finally he's getting married and we planned to travel to Delta state to attend the wedding.

This year we were no longer receiving updates about the wedding preparation and we were confused and hoped everything was alright. This week my mum called her mum to check on her and also get some information about what things that are happening in the family. My grandmother said the woman my uncle wanted to marry has Breast Cancer 😭

She said the woman has treated it before though it wasn't cured completely as there's no definite cure for it yet. The problem resurfaced again and my uncle had no choice but to cancel the marriage, he was heartbroken as the woman's family were aware of this since and they refused to tell him even if they thought it won't disturb her anymore.

I feel so sorry for the woman, breast cancer is now occuring to alot of women these days and is not a good thing. Fortunately my uncle has decided to take his friendship with one of his female friends to the next level by getting married to her still in 2025 and am happy for him, he has really grown and he needs to get married this year. Date has not yet been fixed, I hope everything turns successful this time around.
