Allergy and the Eye

Itching is the most common symptom that patients living in the tropics would present to the eye facility, mostly because of the dust however they are other parameters to consider, a lot actually which tends to make it difficult finding the exact allergen.

This also makes allergic conjunctivitis one of the most common conditions or most prevalent conditions when it comes to the eye care industry, so today we want to find out, how do we need to do if we are prone to this condition.

What you need to do

Before you know what to do you need to understand what is happening. Now the most common reaction to allergen with respect to the eye is itching although there other severe cases, we wouldn’t be looking at those.

So In case of severe itching where you cannot keep yourself from rubbing the eye we recommend cold compresses as a means of keeping things a bit calm. Is therapy that works but is not a permanent solution and thus is recommended you visit the nearest eyecare facility.

Do not buy over the counter drugs for use as there is the possibility of complications should there be other things in addition to the assumed condition. It is important that we under.

Another thing that needs to be done is to study thyself and find the cause of the allergen, whatever you may be reacting to that could be causing you that headache or issue.

Note that no health professional knows you better than yourself and thus you are the best person to discover your solutions with regards to your body, mind you it doesn’t mean do not visit the clinic or hospital it simply means these investigative processes would be best done by you.

Conclusion

Note that these allergens could be anything at all from dust particles in the air to pollen grains in the atmosphere or your bedspread material or your soap or that strong spray you use.

It is always a blessing to have amazing contents here. Most times we prescribe eye drops for ourselves because we believe that when you go to the specialist he or she will give you an eye drop. Forgetting that ,they have their own functions. Keep informing us friend. I have learnt that we shouldn't prescribe medications for the eye ourselves. Thank you
