Urgent Appeal for Support: Help Us Continue Caring for Our Seniors and Rehabilitating Lives

We are reaching out to you on behalf of Sahara Village, an old age care and drug rehabilitation center in Karachi, dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in our community. For years, our shelter home has been a haven for elderly men and women who have no one to turn to, as well as a place of hope for individuals battling substance addiction. Our commitment is to offer these individuals not only a roof over their heads but also the medical, emotional, and therapeutic support they desperately need.
However, the ongoing financial burdens—especially with escalating electricity bills and the high cost of medical care—have brought us to a difficult crossroad. Without immediate and sustained support from compassionate people like you, we may be forced to shut down our doors, leaving many elderly and recovering individuals without a place to stay and no means of help.
Why Your Help Is Needed:
- High Medical Costs: Providing consistent healthcare to our residents is essential, particularly for the elderly and those in addiction recovery. Their health demands are ongoing, and without reliable funding, maintaining adequate medical care is a challenge.
- Rising Utility Bills: The cost of basic utilities like electricity, water, and gas has surged dramatically. Ensuring our facilities are safe and comfortable requires these essential services, and we are currently unable to cover these costs on our own.
- Sustainable Care: Our mission is to provide a stable, long-term solution for our residents, rather than a temporary shelter. However, to continue this work, we urgently need regular donations from generous individuals, foundations, and businesses who believe in the importance of helping society’s most vulnerable.
