A Day in Valentine (Fictional Diary Game) | Arthur Morgan's Untold Adventures, Part 12

I’d had a rough couple of days, so I figured I needed some “me time” away from the gang. That’s why I decided to head out and explore Valentine today.
When I woke up and stepped out of my tent, I saw Dutch standing nearby. But I didn’t feel like leaving without having my morning coffee, so I headed straight to Pearson. He’s our gang’s cook.
I couldn’t find him, but luckily, the coffee was already brewed. Miss Susan Grimshaw and Abigail were there, sipping their cups. After a quick “good morning,” I grabbed a cup for myself too.
Once I was done, I hopped on my black Arabian horse and set off for Valentine. I’d gotten up really early, so early that the sun hadn’t fully risen yet. I didn’t tell anyone where I was going, and no one asked either. Most folks in camp were still fast asleep.
By the time I reached Valentine, the sun was shining bright with some rain clouds, and the town was starting to come alive. People were out and about, going about their daily business.
When I got near the train station, I stopped for a bit. I decided to hop off my horse and walk with it for a while, holding the reins of my Black Arabian Horse in my hand and just strolling through town. Now, I do have a white Arabian too, but today, I felt like taking the black one. I got it just a few days ago, and we’ve already formed a good bond. Don’t ask me how I got it, though... let’s just say I’m an outlaw, not a saint. I do... “things.”

After a short walk, I stopped by Keane’s Saloon and had breakfast, some oatmeal to be exact. The owner knows me; I’ve been there a few times before. Inside, I saw a guy playing Five Finger Fillet alone. It looked like he was just practicing.
Later, I took a stroll near the church, then headed toward the Sheriff’s office with my horse. The Sheriff wasn’t in, but I did spot a prisoner behind the bars. The same one I’d turned in few days ago. Yeah, I’m talking about Benedict Allbright. He was giving me this weird look, and before he could say anything, I just walked out.
Next, I dropped by the doctor’s shop. Tilly had told me back at camp that the doc might be involved in some shady business, but I didn’t have much info yet. I just picked up a few medicines and tonics and went on my way.
It had started to rain, and the muddy ground had already ruined my boots. Still, I went to the gunsmith to grab some ammunition and supplies. Just as I stepped out, I ran into Sheriff Malloy, guess he had made it to the office after all. We chatted for a bit.

After that, I headed over to the general store and bought some chocolates. Some for myself, and some for John’s son, Jack. The little guy always asks me to bring him candy. He’s the only kid in our camp and everyone’s favorite.
By now, my clothes were soaked, and the rain wasn’t letting up. So, I made my way to the Saint’s Hotel. First thing I did was take a nice, warm bath, then I rented a room to get some rest. I ended up falling asleep, and by the time I woke up, it was already evening.
Stepping out of the hotel, I decided to check out the tent theatre show they had set up nearby. They’d built a small camp and ran daily shows in one of the tents. Before buying a ticket, I asked what kind of show it was. It turned out to be a comedy show called The Bear. So, I went in and watched it with a few others already seated inside.

After the show, it was nighttime, and I was starving. So, I walked over to Smithfield’s Saloon. Just as I walked in, this drunk guy bumped into me, mumbling nonsense and trying to pick a fight. But I wasn’t looking to cause a scene, so I ignored him and went to the bartender.
I ordered a plate of Lamb’s Fry for $5 and later had a bottle of whiskey that cost me 50 cents. After that, I headed back to my room at the Saint’s Hotel. I was completely exhausted. So I just crashed and went straight to sleep. One more day gone...

Disclaimer
Arthur Morgan and the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 might be fictional creations by Rockstar Games, but my love for this game? 100% real. This is a new kind of adventure I wanted to bring to Steemit. I’m narrating the story of RDR2 from the perspective of its protagonist, Arthur Morgan, offering a fresh and immersive take on his journey. Rather than directly copying the game’s dialogues, I’m weaving Arthur’s emotions and experiences into a creative and fictional retelling. You can also experience this story in a cinematic way. I play the game, record my gameplay, edit the footage in the best possible way, and upload it to my YouTube channel. This way, after reading each story episode, you can watch it unfold like a movie.

Your story started very strong, here and there it was bit less mainly because it felt it bit too much like the average diary game but... (yes, there's always a but) I enjoyed reading you and together with the pictures and video and the extra information you were able to deliver something good. Thanks for the mention. Good luck with the next stories.
No, no, I think you misunderstood this episode as a story. This episode was just a day off for Arthur. It was a random, boring diary entry, I know. But if you read the previous 11 episodes, starting from the very first one, you will learn who Arthur is and what his gang members are up to. Just click on #waqarwritesmorgan and change the filter from trending to new. You will see all the episodes there in descending order.
Yeah, that's the whole idea. I wanted to bring something fresh and different. Thanks a lot! Make sure to check out the other episodes and watch the videos after each one. Trust me, it's like Netflix… but without the monthly bill. 😄
Thanks for explaining and the tip/hashtag. As soon as I have more time I will read/watch it since Netflix is history.
A great weekend!
¡Holaaa amigo!🤗
Arthur aplicó lo que en Venezuela de manera común decimos "Después de lo duro, vamos a darnos un buen gusto" jajajaja.
Te envío un fuerte abrazo💚
Haha, but the rain showed up uninvited and absolutely trashed his day.
