Our childhood was filled with so much joy. During the rainy season, the ponds and canals would fill with water, and a large number of natural fish would be born in those waters. When the water began to recede, everyone would go there to catch fish. The environment for fishing would be such that the mud would become thick. Everyone would try to catch fish there. Just like that, looking at today’s picture, I remember those childhood days. A few friends and I went fishing in such an environment. We didn’t use any nets or traps; we tried to catch fish with our hands. It would often be the case that some people’s feet would sink up to their knees in the mud. Those old memories are still very vivid in my mind. Those times were truly beautiful.

We would have to wait, with our feet sunk in the mud, to catch the fish. Everyone's eyes would be on the mud, and if it shifted a bit, we would think that there was fish there, and everyone would rush over to catch it. The whole village would come running to fish in that manner. It was a moment full of joy as everyone would be throwing mud around while fishing.

One day, I went fishing and caught a big fish. I was so happy at that time. I held the fish and showed it to everyone, feeling proud that I had caught such a fish.

The funniest part was that after we were done fishing, we would jump into the pond with our muddy bodies. We would wash off the mud and feel even happier, with the joy growing several times. We made sure not to get scolded at home. Then, before evening, I would return home and give the fish to my mother. She would be very happy to see the fish. She would start preparing for cooking, and I would tell her the stories of what happened while fishing. We would laugh together while having dinner at night.

I still remember those days. I remember the joyful moments. The memory of catching fish from the muddy ground still makes me smile. These memories will never be forgotten. They always float in my mind.
