In a small village, there live a middle aged woman. Everyone called her Ammi. No one know about her real name. She lived in a small house with 3 children. Her husband died many years ago in a road accident. After that she became very quiet.
She never complained. Every day, she wake up early, made breakfast, clean house and helped her children to get ready for school. Her hands were always working. But her mouth said very little. Even when she was tired, she smiled. No one saw her crying.
People said, “Ammi is strong.” But they did not see her inside pain. She was quiet, but inside her heart, there was sadness. She gave everything for her children. But she never talked about her problems.
One day, her youngest daughter, Areeba, had to write an essay. The topic was: Who is your hero? Areeba did not choose a famous person. She chose her mother.
In the essay, Areeba wrote:

“My morher is my hero. She never shouts. She never says no. She wears old but clean clothes so we can have new ones. She eats last. She buys nothing for herself. Ammi prays at night when she thinks we are sleeping. I do not know what she beg to Allah. But I know her silent love.”

The teacher read the essay. Her eyes filled with tears. She gave Areeba a special award for her Ammi.
Areeba came home and showed the certificate. Ammi smile and say, “Why this for me? I did nothing big.”
Areeba hugged her and said, “You did everything for us, Ammi.”
That night, Ammi cried in front of her children. It was the first time. She cried because her children understood her. Her silence was not alone anymore. Someone saw her love.
Next day, Ammi was the same. Quiet, simple and full of love. But now, her children knew her heart.
Moral:
Some mothers do not talk much. But they love more than anyone. Their silence is full of care and love. They are real heroes.
