"My Favourite Street Food" .

Not just few but most of us likes eating street foods which is mostly convenient and affordable food for everyone, it's been referred are those meals and beverages prepared and/or sold by some food vendors in our streets and other public areas for quick and easy consumption without any further preparation or arrangements, before i proceed to the contest hints and questions let me first of all appreciate the organizer of this amazing contest @abdullahw2.

What is your favorite street food, and where is it commonly found?

Varieties of street food are been prepared and sold around my country as well as my area which one of my favourite among them is Abacha also known as African salad, this is a type of local and cultural dish originated and mostly eaten by the Igbo's in the south eastern part of Nigeria my country.

What ingredients are used to prepare it?

Abacha food is been processed from boiled cassava tuber by slicing it into different shapes usually like salad after that it will be soaked in a bowl for a day before sun drying it to for immediate or future use.
Different spicies and ingredients are used to prepare this particular dish which makes it more delicious such as palm oil, seasoning cube, blended crayfish, salt, fresh or dry pepper, fried fish/ponmo, Uziza leaf also known as hot leaf, sliced fresh onion and garden egg.

What makes this street food special to you? And how often do you consume it?

This particular street food has a lot of health benefits that is very essential to the body, apart from that it is a convenience and affordable dish for everyone which is usually spicy.

Before now i usually eats it almost everyday because of the sweet and delicious taste and again there's a way the woman am buying it from prepares it that attract me to buy even when i don't want to buy before, when i noticed this i reduced and minimize the way i buy it to once or twice a week which took time before i adapt to it, the reason is because this food is becoming too much and addicted to me that sometimes i don't even bother eating at home because of this particular street food and i will end up spending my money on this that would have served as savings for me.

Would you recommend it to others? Why or why not?

Of course yes i will like to recommend it to others mostly to people who don't know about it and those staying outside the south eastern part of Nigeria where it is mostly prepared and i believe there will love it because it's very delicious and spicy which can as well contribute to their health benefits at last.

Street food as a whole is very good to consume in as much it is well prepared but the problem with it is that most of the people that sells it are less hygienic and they showcases improper food handling by exposing it to the public and passer by which can increase the risk of food contamination and the transmission of different diseases such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites if care is not taken.
