Our seasonal Fruits

Participate in this contest is one of the great thing done by me. All human love and cherish nature, which the climate season is among.

This is one of the informative and educational contest, if we go through other entry then you will understand the value of this contest. The simple truth is that it will help us to know more about other countries season and thier seasonal fruit.
Without wasting much time,I will love to share my opinion with you using this contest questions.

Which season are you enjoying right now? Is it your favorite?

My country is Nigeria, We are in the beginning rainy season, it starts from April to October. It comes with abundant of rainfall which leads to cooler temperature and higher humidity. It can be a welcoming relief from the heat of the dry season. It also replenishes lost water to ground whereby bringing life to flora and fauna. It also enables harvesting and cultivations. This is my favourite season my reason that we enjoy the cool breeze in the morning and the soft sunshine in the afternoon. It is the best time for planting and harvesting different varieties of crop.

This is the season of Abundant food. Example: During dry season the soil will be so dry making it difficult for farmers to uproot cassava and process it to Garri(Cassava flakes). There by leading to scarcity of Garri and other food.

Rainfall bring greenish environment

Having sound sleep at night is one of the things I cherish in life and the present season give me that hundred percent. Even when there is no electricity supply, I enjoy cool breeze while sleeping.

This is one of most enjoyable season because there are lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. Let me set another illustration using a leaf called Water leaf. This leaf is widely used in cooking different dish at home and in different occasions. During dry season it is always costly but in raining season it can be found free in the bush.

Rainy season is my favourite because of the three reason started above. There is always abundance of food, fruit & vegetables and lovely cool breeze. Remember I'm foodies lover.😜😂😂.

Which fruit is available in the market according to this season?

In this season,I realised that we have three major available fruit in the market. They are mango, pawpaw and Avocado .Although we have other fruit but the most frequent in my environment is avocado. It can also be easily found on the street and there are some hawkers who sell avocado from one place to another. Avocado is a seasonal fruit, and we are in the period to enjoy the sweetness of it.

From my experience,I realised that Avocado have different species, taste and flavours.
Mango 🥭 fruit is another seasonal fruit that is also found from April to July. It can also be seen in the market, Although am not a fan of it.

My answer is capital yes, I love Avocado due to the high amount of nutrients it contains. Avocado boosts our immune system as well as aids our digestive system. It can be eaten alone and can also be combined with other fruit in fruit salad preparation. I love enjoying it with others foods like Rice, omelet and guacamole and lot more.

Avocado is a great fruit for human consumption. It has low calories, contains recommended fat and is excellent for our heart health because of lower cholesterol levels. It is one of the recommended fruit for children from 6month old and above which simply means that it can be consumed by both children and adults.

What is the market price of this fruit? Share with us the steem and local price of fruit.

Avocado fruit tends to be cheap or costly depending on once location. People who are living in the rural areas has it at very cheap while in urban areas might have it at the high price.From my experience, irrespective of your location, Avocado is still available and affordable to everyone.

In urban areas One piece is sold at the rate of 150 Naira (0.8steem) and four pieces is 500 naira, the price varies depending on their sizes, which is about 2.5 steem.

While in the rural areas 7 piece is sold at the rate of 500 Naira(2.5 steem).
