I hope you all are doing great..here is bismalaraib and in today's post i am taking part in contest of @abdullahw2 and the topic of contest is fasting in ramadan. So let's get started
What is the purpose of fasting in ramadan?
Fasting is one of the five pillars of the islam and is meant to transform individuals both internally and externally.It's a time for muslims to focus on their spirtuality and fasting connects the person with God through prayers,reflections and good deeds. In islam the main purpose of fasting is to develop self_control and attain taqwa by resisting worldly desires and focusing on their spirtual growths and fasting also helps muslims to understand the struggles of the poor and hungry ,fostering empathy and compassion.Also fasting encouraging muslims to be more charitable and generous

How does fasting benefit a person spirtually and physically?
Fasting can help person to loss weight due to reduction of intake of calories.scientifically fasting stimulates the process of autophagy in which the body breaksdown and recycle damaged cells and protiens and improves mental clarity and focus due to the production of protiens called brain derived neutrotropic factors .fasting also has an antiinflammatory effects which reduces the risk of chronic diseases .fasting is beneficial for diabetic patients because fasting increases insulin sensitivity
Spirtually fasting help individuals to develop a greater sense of empathy and compassion for others. Fasting also helps in developing greater self awareness, and deeper connection with their spirtual selves leading to increase feeling of peace and can help individual to cultivate a greater sense of gratitute for the blessings in their lives

My favourite sahoor recipie is beef kabab with roti along with butter on it. Kababs are rich in protiens they provide a boost of protien and roti provides energy and fibres they also provide healthy digestion and prevent constipation and butter is a nutrient riched food and is an excellent source of fat soluble vitamins A,D,E and k
Tell us about the things which we should do or should not do while fasting?
we should help the poor and needy because this month is also a time to be more kind and compassionate towards others and the most important thing that we should do in ramadan is to offer prayers five times a day ,take advantage of this month and recite Quran daily and reflect on it's teachings perform traweeh prayer and make dua and seek forgiveness from God for our sins because it's the time to focus on prayers and to strengthen aur connection with God.

While fasting avoid things that might break your fast or distract you from spirtual focus it is important to be mindful of your actions and not eat or drink anything during your fast and donot engage yourself in harmful or unethical behaviour. Don't speak negative about others and don't engage yourself in conflicts and unnecessary arguments
