The Power of My Abilities

Good day everyone!. It's well known that when talking about talents,
"Everyone do has a special talent," something they are really good at and pleasingly enjoy doing. So for me, my talent is no other than fashion designing.

It is indeed something that brings me joy and love, and I have been really working hard to improve it every day passing.

What is your strongest skill?

Fashion designing is definitely my strongest skill for now. I always enjoy creating some beautiful outfits, choosing of the right fabrics for the style, and making a pleasing stylish clothes that people love to wear and certainly the trending ones and customers choice. It genuinely allows me to always express my creativity and as well bring out ideas to life through sewing and styling.

When and why did you learn this skill and how long did it take?

• I did started the learning of fashion designing in the year 2020 because in me I have always loved fashion. Additionally, My mother is a fashion designer, a very lucrative one for that matter and so always watching her work inspired me to try follow in her footsteps. She became my outstanding role model/mentor and the very reason I decided to learn this skill. It definitely took me two years of drill and intensive training to master the basics, and since then, I have continued to improve to becoming outstanding.

What do you do to improve this skill of yours?

I knew it myself that after gaining great knowledge from my boss "Nellywise Fashion", to continue being better at fashion designing, there's need for further acquisition and so I always research for new trends and styles. I as well watch YouTube tutorials and learn too from other professional tailors in my city. By really keeping up with the latest designs, I do ensure that my fashion skills remain always fresh and truly modern.

Describe your skill in two to three pictures.

• Fashion designing is indeed more than just sewing clothes with sewing machines. It is very much about creativity, patience, and the passion. Every of the outfit I design all starts as an idea in my mind even after seeing the designs from catalogue. I then choose the best and suitable fabric, take the customer's measurements, draft and cut according to the measurements, and carefully sew to bring the design to life(reality).

I'll love you to Imagine a tailor sitting on a sewing machine, so carefully stitching a stylish trouser. The fabric did flows smoothly, and indeed every stitch is placed perfectly to greatly make the dress neat and more attractive.

Here I'll love you all to think of a room filled with much different designs —the trousers, gowns, shirts, and suits. Each of the outfit so unique, showing the incomparable talent and effort of a "fashion designer."

Picture 3: A Tailor Taking Measurements

Here is showing a tailor(me) with my measuring tape, after checking perfectly the size of a customer before embarking on cutting the fabric and now getting a close mark of the dress size after sewed. This very step is very important to help ensure the dress fits perfectly.

In conclusion,
"Fashion designing" is a huge and wonderful skill. It really allows me to create, innovate, and always make people look good in a well-designed outfits. I am so much proud of my talent and I will continue to work really hard 💪 to become even better than ever!
