What happened?

Nighat was a talented and intelligent girl with a good heart. She was adored by all at school. She was always energetic vivacious and considerate of others. Nighat strolled along the small street leading to her house one day after school. The air was pleasant and the sun was gentle. The silence was abruptly broken by a piercing bark. A street dog stood behind her its eyes wild and its teeth bared and she turned and froze. Fear took hold of Nighat. She ran without thinking. As the dog pursued her its paws smacking the ground near her heels her heart raced. Sharp teeth dug into her hand before she could get away. Her arm ached. She pulled the dog away and hurried away her eyes welling with tears. She run towards house.

When her mother noticed Nighat's bloodied hand she gasped. With haste she cleaned the wound and covered it with a cloth. Nighat felt normal again as the discomfort decreased. Her parents believed the worst was gone when they saw her smiling and at ease. Instead of taking her to the hospital they made the decision. It was only a dog bite after all. Or so they believed. Days went by. Nighat went back to living a happy life. She laughed with her family studied diligently and played with her pals. Her parents were relieved. Everything appeared to be back to normal. However on the twentieth day a shift occurred.

Nighat felt weird when he woke up. Her body hurt and her throat felt dry. She had a temperature by the evening and was breathing fast. She was hurried to the hospital by her parents. Any recent injuries were inquired about by the doctors. The doctor's expression darkened when her parents brought up the dog bite. He declared "It's rabies " In the quiet chamber his words were like stones. "The virus has proliferated. Now it's too late. Her parents' emotions were gripped by shock and fear. They sought assistance from the greatest hospitals by traveling from city to city in desperation. However each physician shook their head. Once symptoms arose there was no cure for rabies.

Nighat's sparkling eyes closed permanently ten days later surrounded by her family. Her dreams and happiness were lost in a seemingly insignificant bite. Her parents could only mutter in the ensuing quiet a lesson that was discovered too late some wounds are more harmful than they appear.

What you have learned from it?

This incident taught me that we should always act quickly to prevent things from getting worse. We shouldn't disregard a dangerous incident such as a dog bite or any other damage simply because the victim appears to be okay. If we don't take the necessary care little issues can occasionally grow into major ones. Being safe is preferable to being sorry. A timely visit to the doctor can save a life. Even if the issue appears minor we should never put off getting help. We can learn from this lesson that prioritizing one's health is crucial. Elders and parents need to realize the importance of early therapy.

Serious health problems might result from ignoring minor wounds or assuming they would heal on their own. For instance rabies has The only way to be safe is to get vaccinated as soon as possible because there is no cure once symptoms start. In order to prevent others from making the same error we need raise awareness. We can prevent significant losses by taking minor safeguards.
