I @seribubulan want to share the amazing scenery at the end of Sumatra Island. One of them is in Harbor City with its Siger tower.
Siger Tower, a Symbol of Identity in Southeast Lampung
The building stands at 110 meters above sea level and is located directly facing the entrance gate of Bakauheni Port.
Not far from Bakauheni Harbor, stands a magnificent building that is the pride of the people of Lampung. The building rises 110 meters above sea level and is located directly facing the entrance gate of Bakauheni Port. This is the landmark of Lampung Province as well as the southern kilometer zero point of Sumatra, which is proudly named Menara Siger. Menara Siger was inaugurated by Governor Sjahroedin Z.P. on April 30, 2008. The location of this siger is still within the Harbor City area as well.
The Siger Tower, located in Bukit Gamping, Bakauheni, South Lampung, has a unique shape with nine golden yellow cones lined up lengthwise. This shape adapts the shape of the bride's crown (siger) in Lampung customs. The nine cones symbolize the nine languages of Lampung society. The cone in the center is larger and taller which is the top of the tower.

This Siger monument is an attraction for local and foreign tourists. If we cross from Merak Port to Bakauheni, this tower will be seen from a distance and a sign that we will soon set foot on the land of Lampung. Once in Bakauheni, there is nothing wrong if you stop for a moment at this tower and enjoy the beautiful view of the beach at the end of Sumatra. If you happen to pass by at dawn and the weather is clear, you have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the eastern courtyard of the Siger Tower.
