Our Goal is a Million Smiles and Still Counting
Greetings dearest
Never once has showing up for the World Smile project been accompanied by a dull moment. Putting smiles on the faces of these children is what we portray, and as one who puts smiles on others faces, our smile must be contagious. In the course of this project, I have learnt to smile multiple times, make some funny dance moves, and whatever else to make it fun for the children. We are in for it.
On arrival I can see the children peeking from the window in awe of who we are in uniforms; some may think we came here for immunisation, and some took permission out of the class to ease themselves just to have a close look at us.
Unlike before, I arrived before Mummy Ngoenyi and Benton 3; I think they had a workout very early that morning, and she was here to oblige to what she started. On arrival, we took a few pictures, a challenge was set on who could suspend in the air for long, and she won. The bell rang, and it was a few minutes past 11 am, and this time the children were organised by the teachers line by line for the distribution of this foodstuff.
Again we had our cartons of Indomie ready; the troop that carried it were @okere-blessing, bossj23, kidi40, whizzbro4eva, and benton3. We began the distribution; the agility and the smile of this future leader made me think of being so blessed to touch as many lives as I could. Do you know the JOY THAT COMES IN GIVING? I feel liberated by moving around to capture these amazing children, their dance moves as they danced to the popular and currently trending Naija jam, JOY IS COMING.

We interacted with a few kids, and then in this course we saw a half-caste; we mistook him for a girl until we were told by this teacher. We collectively aided in the distribution, and after this, it was dance. We engaged the children in a dance session; they were so happy to have us. Due to the intensity of the sun, we had to move them to their distinctive classrooms.

The headmistress sent some words of blessing to us and commended us for picking their school to be visited on that day. I pray for the enablement and more support on this project because for me, just being a part of this team has given me peace of mind and has increased my interaction rate with little ones.
