I have seen these Doel birds in various crop fields. Currently, branches of various trees are kept inside the rice fields. Various birds including Doel sit on those branches and eat the insects to eat rice.

After Bangladesh became independent in 1971, the Doel bird was selected as the national bird of Bangladesh. If there were other birds on the list of national birds of Bangladesh, the Doel was unanimously selected as the national bird of Bangladesh. The main reason for this is that this bird adapts itself very well to the environment.

Our Bangladesh is full of natural beauty, and Doel birds are seen most in nature, and our Bangladesh is a riverine country, these birds are seen most in nature. I think it is mainly for these reasons that Doel has been selected as the national bird of Bangladesh.
