Steem Memory Game: Launching Tomorrow!

I'm thrilled to announce that the Steem Memory Game will be officially launching tomorrow at memory-game.steemhub.tech! After weeks of development and testing, we're ready to bring this fun blockchain-powered game to the Steem community.

How to Play the Game

The Steem Memory Game is a classic memory matching game with a blockchain twist:

1. Game Modes: Choose between Free Daily Challenge or Paid Challenge
2. Gameplay: Flip cards to find matching pairs
3. Scoring: Your score is calculated based on:
   • Time bonus (complete games faster for more points)
   • Move efficiency (fewer moves = higher score)
   • Perfect matches (consecutive matches without mistakes)

Free vs. Paid Mode

• Free Mode: Practice your skills daily with no entry fee
• Paid Mode: Enter the prize pool with a small STEEM fee for a chance to win STEEM rewards

Each completed game automatically posts your score to the Steem blockchain, creating an immutable record of your achievements and allowing you to compete on the daily, weekly, and monthly leaderboards.

Development Insights

Building the Memory Game has been an exciting journey. Some technical highlights:

• Frontend: Built with React, TypeScript, and Material-UI for a responsive gaming experience
• Backend: Node.js with Express, handling game verification and leaderboard management
• Blockchain Integration: Direct interaction with Steem blockchain for:
  • Payment processing (for paid games)
  • Score verification and storage
  • Prize distribution to winners

One of the most interesting challenges was designing the scoring system to be both fair and tamper-resistant. We use a combination of time-based factors, move counting, and blockchain verification to ensure all scores are legitimate.

Roadmap: What's Coming Next

This launch is just Phase One! Here's what we're working on next:

1. Marketing Push: We'll be promoting the game across Twitter, Discord, and Telegram to grow our player base
2. 1v1 Battles: Soon you'll be able to challenge friends to direct competitions
3. SteemHub Integration: The Memory Game will join other tools under the SteemHub umbrella, including posts analysis tools
4. Pool Tools: We're developing new pool tool
