Steem Cameroon Best day contest||09-02-2025

Greetings to amazing members of this community it is my pleasure to welcome you all to my blog once again and also my pleasure to participate in this contest and as a matter of fact my first time in this community. @kidi40 thanks for the invite, before I proceed I would love to invite @alli001,@alexanderpeace and @nsijoro to participate in this contest. Read along as I make my entry.

Do you remember this song No matter where you go remember the road that will lead you home
It is always a thing of joy and happiness to visit your grandparent and even the village as well. The importance of knowing are roots that is where we come from cannot be overemphasized always going to the village helps us to know where we come from so on Sunday 9th February 2025 I went to Uquo in Esit Eket local government. I went there with my siblings and my parents together with my uncle so while inside the car I was trying to figure out the road so my village actually don't get me twisted I know a particular road that leads through my village but we didn't use that word so I had to watch out and to the base of my knowledge I know it very well now.

So we passed a lot of places I knew that you brought a lot of memories back and nostalgic feeling seeing the sign post of my former secondary school reminded me of my jss1 when I got admitted into Union Technical college Ikpa Town. As a new dog as we were fondly called by the senior students you dare not come to school late. I remembered trekking from the sign post to reach the school one day I was running and walking though I was not late but that discipline of being early was in me so to say. After that I came across my primary school Holy Cross Lutheran School that was where I started my early education and I cannot forget that school, and finally we reached out village. My grandfather welcomed us and he was so happy to see us, of course who wouldn't be happy. Although he left for our Christian, my uncle and I dropped him off and we went to get some ingredients for food preparation.

Since we were expecting visitors we prepared porridge plantain with goat meat and pepper soup rice with goat meat this delicious meal was one of its kind and it served it purpose as visitors were complimenting the cook for a job Well done. Before that I made sure that the drinks and water which will be used to step down the food were ready. The ate to their satisfaction and I was happy because they were happy too. Most of them were older people who were the at the time of my birth so seeing me again was a thing of joy to them. It was also a happy moment for me because I spent time with my grandparent and they offered me practical advice for daily living. I was so happy to see them although my grandmother is not feeling too well seeing her was a thing of joy for me. Moments like this helps us to have close relationship with our family members and friends.
