The Diary game: Moderating an in-house training (27/2/2025)

Happy weekend and happy new month, dearest family of Steem Cameroon, it feels like it's just yesterday we entered 2025 and today, we are already in March. I believe this month will be better than the former for everyone. I wanna share how my day went, and the activities that kept me busy. I'm still one of you, @destinedhanik.

Throughout last week, we had a midterm break for students tho we as teachers didn't partake, we were still attending school and closing at the normal time, so Thursday was set aside for staff training. I was told on Tuesday that I'll be the moderator, and when I was told, I gave the excuse of not doing it before but nobody listened to me, so I just had to do it. On that day, I woke up early as usual, 5:am abd started preparing for work, I made sure I ate before leaving. At 8am, we assembled to begin the day, abd I was given the program for the training which included the resource person's and their topics.

The first resource person spoke on effective classroom management. He gave some points.

• Set rules and establish routines.

• Create a positive learning environment.

• Manage your time wisely, etc

The second speaker spoke on practical approach in handling slow learners abd he did justice to the topic.

We finished by 22pm after the principal had given the closing remark.

We had to stay till 3pm before dismissing, so I used the remaining hours to write my marking scheme for the exams I set, and when it was 3pm, I went home. I refreshed and decided to rest for a while.

In the evening, at about 5pm, my colleagues came out to work on their various portions of farmland, so I decided to work on mine too.

When I was through, I went back to my room and warned my afang soup and ate with garri, so that was how my day went. Filled with first time activities.
