The Diary Game [24/03/2025] // Work From Home due to Lockdown.

Steem greetings @everyone from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog as I share my daily lifestyle content with you all. It was a lockdown in my neighbourhood as imposed by separatist fighters. Every Monday is observed as a lockdown though movement is timid but cars are restricted.

On such days I often woke up from bed late. I ensure to get enough rest before resuming work on Tuesdays. Also, my kids are to start second-term examinations for the academic year 2024/2025. I can't wait for Easter break at least I will rest from snacks packed every morning.

I started the day by preparing breakfast for the family. I had to ensure my kids were well-fed as I followed them up to eat without wasting food. I prepared them tea with bread and omelette while I prepared fried plantain and omelette for my husband and I.

After eating, I took a walk to the street to buy some vegetables and spices from roadside vendors. I returned home to prepare lunch. I prepared porridge potatoes with beef. I prepared all my ingredients and cooked the meal easily.

Now was the time for revision with the kids. After our lunch, we engaged in a series of exercises going through their books and revising on the subjects to be written tomorrow. My kids are fast learners, so it was less stressful for me to revise with them. My daughter gonna write ICT tomorrow and has some coding work to be done. I had to allow that section for my husband to handle it with her since he is more experienced in the field.

When we were done revising, I had to undo my daughter's hair and wash it with shampoo and conditioner. I blow dry it and plait cornrows as requested by her school. Then I took my son to a friend’s house around the neighbourhood who is a barber. He told me he does not work on lockdown days because separatist can target him for violating their rules. I pleaded with him as I was occupied throughout the week and did not have time to bring him for the haircut. After pleading he closed the door and did the needful. I had to pay higher than the normal price on a normal working day.

We walked back home and I was exhausted for the day. I heated water took a warm bath and decided to entertain myself with 90 minutes of the FIFA World Cup qualifier game between Guinea Bissau and Burkina Faso.

After the game, I had to call it a day as I went to bed early, hoping to begin the week with a positive energy. Until my next diary, it is goodnight from my end.
