I would recommend splitting the seed in 3 parts with 4 characters each.
Wirte down on 3 different papers:
Part:

• 1+2
• 1+3
• 2+3

Store these parts in different locations.
So you need 2 of 3 parts.
This can protect your seed in case of fire or theft.
