Actsofkindness : Enthusiastic youth help search for victims swept away by river currents on the 5th day
youth of Gampong Blang
Today is the fifth day of the search for the victim Muhammad Farhad, aged 6, a child who was swept away by the Krueng Pasee river in Mesjid village, North Aceh. This incident has left deep sorrow for the victim's family and the surrounding community. We, the village youth, took the initiative to participate in this search as a form of concern and solidarity for the victim's family.

According to the chronology of events, Muhammad Farhad went with his brother to bathe in the river without the knowledge of his parents. Unfortunately, while in the river, he suddenly drowned and was carried away by the strong current. Since then, the family and the community have immediately tried to find him, but until today there has been no result.
A search full of struggle since morning, the search team consisting of the SAR team, the Krueng Pasee residential community, and the youth have gathered around the river to continue the search. Some of us went straight into the river with full courage, even though we only relied on makeshift tools. Some residents used buoys from used tires, while others relied on their swimming skills and teamwork to comb along the river.

The strong river current and difficult terrain made this search a big challenge. We tried various ways, from following the riverbank, diving at certain points, to using long bamboo to reach deeper parts of the riverbed. Although tired, our spirits remained high because everyone hoped that Farhad would be found soon.
Unbroken hopes and prayers in the midst of the search, the victim's family continued to pray and hope for a miracle. Everyone involved in the search also prayed in their hearts, begging Allah SWT to immediately provide guidance and ease in finding Farhad. We all felt deep sadness, especially seeing the hopeful faces of the victim's parents who continued to wait for good news.

The search was carried out until the afternoon, but there was no sign of Farhad. With a heavy heart, the search team decided to stop the search temporarily and will continue it tomorrow. This decision was taken considering the physical condition of the volunteers who were tired and the safety factor during the search at night.

Solidarity that strengthens even though this search has not yielded results, one thing that is very much felt is the strong solidarity between the community, youth and also the SAR team. All united in the effort to find victims, showing that concern and mutual cooperation are still very strong among us.
We ask for prayers from all parties so that this search process will soon find a bright spot and the victim's family can soon get certainty. May Allah SWT make our steps easier and give strength to the family of Farhad's brother in facing this trial.
