Perfect Pumpkin Pie

While pumpkin is a popular fall flavor, I am such a big fan of pumpkin pie that I indulge in this amazing autumnal treat year round. I have made so many of these pies over the years that I have managed to perfect my recipe and come up with a few interesting variations.

Here is the recipe for my basic pumpkin pie. It’s super simple to throw together and such a scrumptious pie that it’s sure to please everyone who tastes it. And it’s even better when topped with a pile of whipped cream or ice cream.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of pumpkin puree
  • 14 ounces (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground clove
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 prepared pie crust
  1. Preheat oven to 425℉.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin, milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, salt and ginger.
  3. Pour the batter in to the prepared crust, bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to 350℉, bake for 35-40 minutes, until crust is golden brown.

There you have it, making pumpkin pie is truly easy as pie!
